Sector 7 comics

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Sector 7 comics

Post by Dominic »

Transformers (Sector 7):
Ya know, if they ever start including parenthesis in the titles of comics, I will be pretty well screwed. Griping about overly complicated sub-naming aside, the concept of "Sector 7" is to show how a small group of humans discovers and begins to study Megatron. Aside from a few productiona and scripting mistakes, the book is not terrible. However, it is also not terribly good. It has potential, but there is nothing really amazing going on in this series. Jetfire sort of just shows up, which reads more like a fanfic than I would like for an official comic (that I paid for) to read like.
Grade: C

Dom
-might not pick up the next issue of "Sector 7".

Apparently those two guys in it are totally from the first movie's prequel comics.

I browsed through this yesterday, but the movie universe comics just don't interest me.

For the record, I cannot recommend "Reign of Starscream" enough.

This is one that Dom and I actually agree on. "Reign of Starscream" was a good comic.

I remember you guys recommending this storyline before. I still intend to give it a try one of these days.

Ah yes, "Reign of Starscream"... the epic story of Starscream got his prison tats. Actually I find Sector 7 to be more interesting.

That's not even it, man, that's Alliance or Defiance or one of those other prequels. Where they tease Wreckage FOREVER, finally give him Bludgeon's colours (because we thought he was gonna be Wreckage) and then kill him off like he's a bit character.

Reign of Starscream is where he tries to create a new AllSpark.

Starscream gets marked up in "Reign". Still, it was a damned good comic. (It actually justified the movie for me.) "Defiance" is not terrible.

"Sector 7" is not terrible either actually. If I were not actively trying to cut back/avoid buying new comics, it would likely be on my pull-list.

As it is, my pull list runs from 5 to 7, which is 2 or 3 more comics than I want it to be.

Dom
-consistent 4-5 would be better.
