Re: The Mystery of Skullcruncher
Well, his TFwiki page says that, despite his package's claims of him being a crocodile, he is in fact an 'aligator'. Now, normally I'm inclined to disagree with TFwiki on the grounds that David Willis doesn't know the difference between LioConvoy and Leo Prime, but the imagery provoked by the idea of an 'aligator' is simply too awesome to pass up.

"I'M THE GREATEST! And I'm prett-- well, ok, I guess I'm not 'pretty', per se."
I figured he was an alligator due to the fact that they're fatter, and indigenous to the States. But maybe some animal expert can give me super-duper confirmation?

Don't diss the Wiki on Willis alone, there's a lot of other jerkwads there too.BWprowl wrote:Well, his TFwiki page says that, despite his package's claims of him being a crocodile, he is in fact an 'aligator'. I'd vote, but I know nothing of aminals nor do I particularly care for Skullcruncher. Cool name as he has.

He's a crocodile with alligator-like characteristics.
Re: The Mystery of Skullcruncher
No, he is a gator with a thin snout.
Seriously, it may not be possible to tell. Was his form even chosen on Earth in the relevant continuity?

Re: The Mystery of Skullcruncher
I haven't read my comics in aaaages (and I'd put money on Marvel not even mentioning how he got his altmode), but... likewise for the American and Japanese cartoons. He's just... there. Being a crocogator.
I realise this may all come down to, "Hasbro based him on a general crocodilian design with no real forethought", but I maintain it's more likely he was based on something specific, if only subconsciously.
Incidentally, I always liked Skullcruncher's "sword" as one of those Japanese ogre clubs, with all the metal nobbles on. Just stick it in his hand upside-down, and ta-dah! Instant mecha-oni!

Wow, I think you may be even more bitter towards the Wiki than I am. I just wish an 'informational' site didn't find itself so good at influencing public opinion.Onslaught Six wrote:Don't diss the Wiki on Willis alone, there's a lot of other jerkwads there too. Also, they're a good resource for that kind of thing, because oftentimes they rip that information right out of one of DVD's reviews or something.
Why is this information so important, Gomess? You writing a fanfic or something?
He's a gavial. What? It makes as much sense as anything else.
