Wish I could find the new ones for that cheap!
and what looks like Jesse Ventura's gatling gun from Predator.
That actually works, because almost the entire Jungle Assault assortment for Joe since the PoC relaunch has been 'Predator homages.' There's a Duke who looks a hell of a lot like Dutch, Recondo who looks exactly like Jesse Ventura, and Spirit who looks exactly like Billy. And there's a badass Cobra jungle assassin with a facemask and dreadlocks. Look at this shit:

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
I had to go to Harrison's today to pick up Cobra Volume 4, cuz Newbury did not order it at all. (Yeah, this is geting to be problematic.) Picked up my comic, and....there is a Marshall's nearby. I followed up on Scourge's posting and....
-HftD Insecticon: For $6, it is a mould I have been meaning to explore and customize.
-most of the RtS Legends scale figures. When possibe, I picked up extras. As of this posting, I have an extra Prowl and would be willing to go back and pick up the lone Trailcutter I left behind.

-yeah, it is about time to just settle in and wait for eHobby Ricochet to show up.
I don't really care for pro wrestling, but I DO care for six-player fights, the ability to elbow drop people from helicopters, and blow up cars with my bare head.
Also it has Goldberg. He's basically a video game character anyway, so he's extra satisfying to play as!
Today's comics: nothing I collect regularly came out this week, so I got Abin Sur #1, a Flashpoint tie-in, and Action Comics #900. Since DC is starting over from scratch, we're not likely to ever see a title hit this number again. I may buy the next few issues as well until the reset, just for the novelty value.
I got Cyberverse Ironhide, if only because he was the last Cyberverse toy of the current waves that I needed. He's a'ight, his arms kinda suck. Now I just need the Optimus and Megatron bases, which I just saw at Wal-Mart today. Didn't get them though, as I was there to pick up the exclusive Sideswipe instead. His paint job's really nice, it's kinda the same treatment I would've expected a mold to get in G2, if a little more tasteful than those usually were. He's also got a bit of Allspark Blue for good measure, so this kinda doubles as the Allspark Power repaint Sideswipe never got because he didn't exist when that line came out. Love the sponsors too. In addition to Maccadam's and the by now well-established Lithonian Drivetrain, he's also got markings for 'Axalon Rattraps: Safe. Humane. Yeah Right!', plus the coveted TransTech Autobot symbols (C'mon Hasbro! You have to put the Decepticon symbol on someone now!). Oh, and his racing number is 04, as in, this is the fourth damn Deluxe Sideswipe toy. I almost feel obligated to get the convertable DOTM Deluxe, if only for stupid completist value. I honestly don't care about Sideswipe that much, I just keep buying new toys of him because each one looks like it'll be marginally better than the last (this one, for instance, has a more interesting paint scheme than the original SidearmSwipe).
Kinda waffling on that Wal-Mart exclusive Deluxe Optimus Prime. I mean, how often does an exclusive *mold* come along?
Anderson, the big two are pretty shameless about changing the numbering systems. In the last 15 years, both have gone from "accessible" (artificially low), to "honest" (what the numbers should be), to "ridiculously inflated legacy" (counting as many books as possible, even when character had secondary billing). And, I think I read somewhere that "Action Comics" was going to stick with legacy numbering.

-has noted that all this makes storing and finding back-issues stupidly hard.
Grabbed an Iron Man 2 Whiplash. Do I give two shits about Whiplash? No, I just wanted his whips, since I also got DOTM Jolt and I wanted to do this:
Not bad. Of course, these tentacles mean Jolt is now the natural predator of my Queen's Blade toys:
Poor Ymir...
I also got Human Alliance Whirl, who's honestly a better toy than Jolt. Kinda frustrating that they actually molded his windshield in clear plastic, then painted it completely over in silver (in fact, I'm generally unhappy with the whole color scheme on this toy) but it's a solid mold with a ridiculous/cool weapon mode and a *lot* of fiddle value. He's also got a shit-ton of 3mm rails on him, which is nice, since the previous wave of HA Basics seemed kind of limited in that regard. If they make a better repaint, I'll likely pick that one up too.
I picked up Tailpipe & Friends. Haven't had a chance to do much other than briefly play with Pinpointer, who's pretty badass. I ended up leaving them at work tonight, as I got a frantic call from my wife that our basement was flooding so I had to beat feet outta there. I'll post my thoughts on 'em soon.
