Bedbugs are still a thing? You don't hear about 'em much anymore. What does one do to get rid of 'em? I'd assume set fire to the mattress, but my solutions only seem to bring more problems.

And not only do you get the bugs, but a son of a bitch, too? Damn, when it rains it pours, bro.

Well theoretically that would mean he got a PUPPY! Which is never a bad thing, in my book. Puppies rule.

Anyway, just because I'm flat broke doesn't mean I can't still get some of the things I want. Took a mountain of DS games I wasn't playing to GameStop and traded them in for the purchase of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Complete nonsense title, very cool game so far. They did a spectacular job of shrinking down the Kingdom Hearts experience to fit it onto the DS, and it works wonderfully. Multiplayer is really fun too, good idea on that one. So well worth it, and it helps take my mind off the things I still can't buy, so that's a plus.

There's a fucking bedbug epidemic in NY right now, but I guess they are starting to reemerge everywhere. There are apparently a lot in Austin right now. They can hide in anything (alarm clocks, behind wallpaper, electrical sockets) and can go up to 18 months without food, so they are notoriously hard to get rid of. I have to wash every article of clothing and linen in my house and seal it in a plastic bag. EVERYTHING I OWN has to be steamed or "inspected" and placed in a plastic bag. I basically have to get my home ready to be vacated. The exterminator is going to come tomorrow to spray along all the walls and baseboards and treat my bed and stuff, and then I have to keep an eye out for them. The bites don't show up on me, so I have no way of knowing if I have them other than the bloodstains on my pillow and sheets or finding actual specimens. So i'm a paranoid wreck and my apartment looks like it's going to sit in the front row of a Gallagher performance.

Gyah! Man, I love living in a country where the nastiest thing you're likely to find is a spider that runs away and is only dangerous if you're allergic. Nasty stuff.

I'm seriously unsure if he's joking about the bedbugs or not.

Anyway! Lighter news, I spent too much money:

-TFU Inferno! Found two at the Toys R Us in Altoona, snatched one up. They also had Countdown and some other Ultras on clearance for 'twelve bucks,' but I decided to hold off for a return trip if I didn't find anything else...which I did.
-ROTF Long Haul! Finally! Christ.
-All Hail Megatron volume 2. Alright! Now I can read the entire thing in one go.
-Transmetropolitan volume 3. At $13, it's a steal.
-Pizza with my girlfriend. Oh, yeah, I have a new girlfriend. And she's awesome.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Wait, don't you live in Australia where they have the funnel web which is tied for the most deadliest freakin spider on the planet?

- Doctor Who: The Next Doctor on DVD. My local Best Buy has ditched the sci-fi section entirely in favor of expanding the Blu-Ray section, and all the Doctor Who DVDs were in the TV section. Which makes sense, but it's not where I'm used to finding them.
