TF question

Post by Ursus mellifera »

And kind of an odd one, but there are methods to my madness.

OH, THERE ARE METHODS INDEED

Anyway, I've previously asked Dom this question, but which do you all think are the best wolf and/or panther Transformers toys?

IE: Of all the Transformers toys that turn into a wolf/canine and/or a panther, which are the best?

Thanks

Ravage is a classic and Classics Ravage is a pretty good version. The various cats from the BW line are pretty good (Cheetor/Tigatron/Shadow Panther), they look like actual big cats in beast mode and have decent articulation in bot mode. The Transmetal Cheetor mold is a decent one too I think and again you get out of that Cheetor, Tigatron, Ravage out of it. For wolves there's not much. Wolfang from BW and Weirdwolf and maybe Fangry from G1 and that's about it.

There was Snarl from Cybertron, who I never got because I was perpetually waiting on the repaint--not an unusual assumption back in the Cybertron era. Unfortunately, Snarl was one of the few who didn't get one stateside (most of the Beast Planet guys didn't, it turns out) but Japan did get one in Dark Fangwolf, which was a super-limited release and is hard to find now.

Thundertron is supposed to be a lion, I think, but he looks more like a wolf.

There've also been a variety of wolf-related Minicons in the last couple years but I'd be hard pressed to think of all of them.

That "Cybertron" wolf was a bad toy, in a bad sub-set (Beast Planet Autobots). it was not as bad as the lion mould, (which I skipped a recolour of despite it meeting all of my standards at the time). But, it is still one of the worse toys to come out of the "Cybertron" line.

Dom
-would rate "Beast Machines" Cheetor highly.

Thanks, guys. I had a customizing project in mind, but I don't think it's going to work out with these molds. I'll have to wait for some new lupine TF to come along.
