Botcon 2012 Metalhawk looks freakish/awful/wrong.

Personally,Botcon Metalhawk looks like it's going for the "Robocop" theme.

It works for a humanoid Pretender shell. Unfortunately, it's a pretty poor choice for Metalhawk--he spends most of his time in Masterforce either in a much less conspicuous human disguise (he just looks like a dude in a three-piece suit) or in his regular robot mode.

I think this might have worked better. if they did the inner robot for metalhawk

I've been looking at a lot of customs lately trying to figure out who the best base figure is.

This guy did something really neat, which was repaint the chest (actually from a Black Shadow) and use the head from CybHot Shot. It looks pretty good:


I've seen lots of customs that use Universe Cyclonus as a base, which sorta works too:


I gotta be honest, though, this is my favourite: It's the upcoming FoC Fireflight (retool of Shockwave) with a shooped on head:
