Revoltech!

Post by Skywarp17 »

I've recently become addicted to Revoltech figures. SO talk about 'em here!
Which do you own, which are your faves, which do you want, what mechs/ characters do you want to see? Anything and everything.

I have a meager three so far. Eva-00 (rebuild of Evangelion ver.) Shin Getter 1 and Lazengann. Pretty hard to name a fave... Eva tops them all for accessories. Two swords, rifle, big giant gattling gun, and possobly has the best range of movement. But Shin Getter and Lazengann are more visually interesting.....I guess I'll go witht the middle ground and go with Shin Getter. The slightly ludicrous axe beats Lazengann's drills.

As for my wish list of existing figs...Gurren Lagann is on top without a doubt. Followed by Enki, Mazinkaiser and then a two way tie between the New and Classic versions of Getter 1.

I find myself grasping a bit for awesome mechs that haven't gotten the Revoltech treatment. Nirvash from Eureka Seven seems obvious, you could get some pretty sweet poses on a ref board with Revoltech joints. Godannar. Yep, still like it. A Vash figure would be keen, followed by Wolfwood. Aquarion, though I'm not a huge fan of the show. Dunno why this didn't come to me sooner: Gaogaigar. EVERYone, but Volfogg would be the obvious choice. I'd pay for Revoltechs of Gundober and Gunglue, personally :D

I've got Dix-Neuf of Dai Buster fame, quite the keen figure. Love the removable jacket. And the bat. Just wish the pegs keeping his lower arms on were a big longer, they like to fall off if I'm not careful while handling him. I also have Cardbo/Danboard from Yostuba&!, which might be one of my favorite anime-based toys ever. The obscene amount of poseability they got out of the design, the Miura head, the light-up eyes- It's just about perfect. As for my wishlist, Gurren Lagann is a definite must, and I'd probably grab the Production Model Eva if I saw it. Oh, and I'm also definitely gonna pick up the Yotsuba Summer Vacation set.

I'm not the biggest Eureka Seven fan, but I dig the hell outta the design of the Final Nirvas from the last episode, so I wouldn't mind a toy of that. Would also love to see Lancelot and Gurren Mk. 2 from Code Geass, I've grown quite fond of that show. Looking towards the Fraulein side of the line, having Fate/Stay Night's Rin and Saber makes me wish they'd do some figures of Tsukihime/Melty Blood characters. Arcueid, Ciel, and Sion would all be great, and two out of three of those have fun repaint potential in the forms of Warcueid and Sion TATARI, so they're good choices in that respect.

EDIT: Oh, and given the ties Gainax seems to have with this line, Canti, Gunbuster, and Nono/Buster Machine No. 7 would all be great to see too.

Two ego-puff points to anyone who was familiar with EVERYTHING that I mentioned.

Guyver!!!!
Duh.

Sure, putting the Revoltech joints in and still having it look organic is tricky, but a super-poseable Guyver fig would be sweeeeet

Well they did it for Revy, Dante and the EVA's, sooo....

I've got Gurren-Lagann, Lazengann, Prime, EVA-02 (New Movie Ed.), YF-1S and ARX-8. With Yoko, Enki, TTGL and others soon to be on pre-order.

Ooh, forgot about Revy. I just got through Black Lagoon vol. 1 (looking to pick up the anime as soon as I see it), and it's one kickass series. Very Gunsmith Cats meets Cowboy Bebop. And a lot of the kickass quotient comes from Revy. May have to look into that toy...

I have Revoltech Convoy. He kinda sucks. Robot Replica movie Prime is cooler.

I would like the Tetsujin 28/Black Ox set, buuut..

Mm, Black Ox...

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

As much as I like the simple-yet-cool-ness of Black Ox's design.....a Revoltech version, really? If the two pack were cheap, like say the cost of ONE Revoltech, I'd consider it.

Black Ox is awesome, primarily because he got redesigned in that awesome early 90s Tetsujin-28 revival with kickass redesigns.
