Oh man, I cannot tell you how much I would love to play Mortal Kombat as Kratos. Do you know if he's on the Komplete Edition for the Xbox?

What do you think of Hasbro doing plastic hoods now?
Crap, I forgot about that, it's the figure's worst problem! I don't mind the plastic hoods in general, they've utterly ruined every Emperor figure they've put out lately with the fabric hood, take a look at this shit: http://www.rebelscum.com/MH-EMERGENCE_OF_THE_SITH.asp After buying garbage like that for years now, I've decided the lay of the hood is too important to a figure's look to leave to out-of-scale fabric.

BUT! Stupid Maul's sculpted hood didn't properly take into account the horns, so it sits WAY too high and ruins the cloaked look! What the hell were they thinking letting that go out that way?!?
I've generally only put it on him like once so I guess I didn't notice it. I did throw it onto one of my Zartan figures for a test run and I gotta say 'that' looks pretty cool.
Yeah, I'm on Monkey Island, just met the cannibals. The swordfighting training was brilliant, and required being creative when you used it against the sword master lady. The trip on the ship was lame though, and then Monkey Island itself hasn't quite felt right yet, maybe once I get inside the skull.
It's been about a year since I played through it but I remember the skull bit getting pretty awesome.

He wouldn't be, since Kratos is a Sony character. Might as well ask if Mario's in it.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I'm assuming that, but I guess I was asking if anyone knew for sure (maybe Midway had some sort of agreement where they would release everything eveywhere after a certain amount of time). Actually, come to think of it, Mario would be pretty hilarious too. And, Mario vs. Kratos would be even funnier. :ugeek:

The sculpt of the hood is really good, just not on maul. And I forgot, they don't ever use matching materials - plastic hood shiny, cloth robe matte. I've also seen plastic hood matte, cloth robe shiny on other figures just to ruin things some more. Unfortunately they canceled Q&A this year or I'd mention it to them.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Did they?! Wow. Wonder if they'll do the same for GI Joe now.

I musta got lucky with my Maul because the cloth cap and hood actually look pretty decent on him. Epic fail on Palpy though which why he always gets the plastic one.

-Helmets are the way to go, clearly. Vader doesn't have this problem.

Different Maul, that's an older Maul figure with cloth in the 2-pack, the new Vintage Collection Maul has a plastic hood that looks like ass.

Mine's the one from the Sith Legacy 3 pack and articulation wise is the best one I've seen. Granted, I haven't set foot in a toy store in over 6 months so I have no idea what the current one is like for that. But, the last one I saw individually packaged was just a rerelease of the one from the sith speeder pack and that thing had horrible articulation.

That is a good figure, but the new one blows it away in terms of sculpt and articulation:
http://www.rebelscum.com/TVC86Maul.asp
although the figure is not without flaws, shipping with his belt facing the wrong direction (fixable, but a pain in the ass because you have to rotate the belt but not the cloth kama skirt), the aforementioned plastic hood that doesn't fit right, and the left gauntlet permanently wearing the probe droid command collar.

I didn't even know what that little silver thing was. I just thought it was part of his design that I hadn't noticed. (Nor did I know the belt is on wrong, I'll have to fix that.)
