Don't fret. I too think it's inappropriate and frankly, somewhat offensive (were we to have some Girls on this Internet, I'd certain they would have a thing or two to say. Our resident civil rights activist Gomess probably would too, were he not actively avoiding TigerMegadeth's threads). But really, if the fine people of this board can't roll their eyes, laugh, and shrug off a stupid, stupid,
stupid thread like this one, then what does that make us? Any other place you'd see people getting petty and starting up rage threads, and counter-threads with smarmy, 'let's troll this guy off the internet' tones. You yourself, Six, have said that you think we're above that sort of thing. I mean, the last guy who left did so literally because he couldn't stand the concept of us tolerating (let along being 'friends' with) someone who had very different ideas and opinions than us, and I think that says the most about the atmosphere we really strive for here. You are you, and as long as you contribute your views to the discussion in some way, we aren't going to tell you to leave.
That said, TigerMegs, you may want to, ah, observe the crowd a bit depending on what board you're on, and decide on posting threads based on how relevant to people's interests said threads will be. Case in point: I may think Kamen Rider is the sexiest Toku hero, but I didn't start a thread on the subject until two other guys mentioned they'd want to discuss the series. I mean, yeah, we've got a bazillion page comics thread here that has somehow miraculously stayed on topic, but was there one post in there about misogynistic blue-mutant girlfriend fantasies? Throwing out cool (and frightfully meticulously detailed) new ideas for Transformers toys under their appropriate indexes is perfectly fine, but something like this would feel out of place on even the most loosely-moderated Transformers forum. And something I think needs to be said about this place: We are not loosely moderated, we are
self-moderated. Take that into consideration.
If you want to express your...ideas...on the canvas of raw, uncensored Internet, may I suggest 4chan? /co/ alone has dozens of threads like this per day, and I try not to think about what some of the people on /toy/ do their Shinkis...
