Need Armada Overload

Well, at Botcon there were a handful of these. The best one, I missed out on by a matter of minutes, complete loose for $15. The next one was loose, no missiles, for $25, I held off until it too was gone but I wasn't excited about the idea of spending that much anyway. Then there was the $10 loose one with no minicon, which I just couldn't bring myself to pull the trigger upon since the minicon is central (literally and figuratively) to this set. Finally, there was the $5 missing several parts beyond just the minicon.

So, no Armada Overload still. Looking to spend as little as possible to get this in complete condition (working electronics a must, missiles are negotiable). In terms of trade bait, I have a ton of loose figures but I'm reticent to get rid of any, but tell me what you want and I'll see what I can do. I also have a carded Cybertron Downshift.

Thanks!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought you hated this toy?

No, how could I hate this toy? I've never experienced it. This was the figure I put off buying because Hasbro said they were gonna release a much better repaint a few months later as Energon Ultra Magnus, and then I got screwed over when Hasbro super short-sold that one.

It is a bit under-painted, but over-all worth-while.

The most common is the "Armada" use of the mold. But, there are a few recolors, (store exclusives and such) available. I know that the BotCon exclusive iteration is more common that "Energon" Ultra Magnus.

I would say more than $15 (missing parts) is too high. Given the rarity of the mold over-all, $35, if complete, is fair.

-would have taken the Minicon-less Overload, if only to repaint for Nemesis Prime, another rarity.

I thought you were mister anti-Nemesis Prime.

Armada Overload's a fairly neat toy. Brickish, yet he looks good and is a clever execution of the Mini-Con gimmick. Just a shame he never got any characterisation beyond the pack-in comics and a brief appearance in the DW Armada series. The figure was the first to have the transformation sound effect, and has neat shoulder-mounted missile pods.

Can keep an eye out here. He was really overstocked when he came out, but all disappeared rather swiftly, and he can be a pricier one to get secondhand as many want him to complete their Magna Jet Convoys.

Just be wary of shipping from NZ. I can vouch for O86 in terms of integrity, but the shipping will likely double, or even triple, the price of the toy.

Yeah, I appreciate the offer, but I did shipping to and from the region a while back, it is rather pricey, probably not within my range. I'm not in a rush though, what have you found to be the cheapest shipping to the US, o86?

Also, I have half-decent luck at finding older toys kinda cheap around here. So I'll keep an eye out, too. Haven't seen him lately, but you never know.

Thanks, much appreciated!
