January Hauls

Post by BWprowl »

Jeez, a day into this year and no new hauls thread? Wasswrong witchu people?!

Borders had a buy one/get one half off sale. I grabbed:

Negima! Vol. 20
Card Captor Sakura: Master of the Clow Vol. 4
Dance in the Vampire Bund Vols. 1 & 2- I really wasn't interested in this series until I found I could get it half off. Heh.

Also, didneh mention it in the December hauls thread, but Tuesday was a good day. Went to Wal-Mart to kill time before work, and no new TFs, durn. However, as I was walking out, I look down and I'm all "Oh hey, they got some Batman Brave and the Bold toys! I wonder how those are!" I ended up not paying too much attention to those though, because just then I noticed that RIGHT NEXT to them was the whole Kalibak wave of DC Universe Classics dudes! Okay, I didn't really want anybody but the variant Superman, but just seeing them all was cool. I grabbed the Superman, plus a Captain Marvel for Medanite, since he likes that character. Superman has the SuperMullet and is surprisingly cool for a Superman figure. Captain Marvel bears a striking resemblance to Adam Sandler. :(

Anyway, so then after work, I went down to Best Buy to try and kill the gift card I got for Christmas. Not only did I find that the Complete Collection of Black Lagoon had come out, but I ran across the Transformers Energon Ultimate Collection set too! Awesome, both were duly purchased.

So yeah, fun times.

I got Sideways (the film) on DVD a few days before I wrecked, but that was in December.

Also, Prowl, isn't that sig a little...big? I mean, I can deal, whatever dude, I just know that when I put my band pic in my sig, I specifically made a smaller one to avoid my sig being Too Big.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I ordered Beast Machines Battle Unicorn from BBTS, which should arrive today. And if we're including non-Transformers hauls, I got Star Trek Voyager season 5 on DVD.

Battle Unicorn is quite the man, I thorougly dig him. How many more BM figures are you missing?

I have Movie Legends Battle Damaged OldBee vs. Scorponok. Woo, half price! I like half price. Scorpy is roughly negative twenty three times more awesome than the Deluxe, because the deluxe is in fact negative awesome. I already had Legends OldBee, s'why I never got this set before now.

I'd have to check a list of the figures to be sure, but I should have just about all the Maximals and Vehicons now, with the exception of both versions of Optimus Primal and the first version of Cheetor that came out opposite Tankor. I bought all the Vehicons when the line was in stores, and I've gone back in the last year and picked up a good number of the Maximals. I don't have the deployers or beast riders.

Actually, now that I think about it, Skydive is the Universe version, not the Beast Machines version. But I guess I'll count him anyway.

Mini-Scorponok is a great little figure.

Blargh! They're all Out There! In the wild! And I'm missing them! What a foolish time to have destroyed my vehicle!

No, really. Monetize for time and gas, and....it is actually cheaper.
