Fan fic question

Post by Ursus mellifera »

I know I haven't been here in awhile, but I was hoping you would indulge me in answering a question. I may have, hypothetically, and as an act of pure spite and vengeance, written a short but horrible slash fiction involving J.R.R. Tolkien, Lillian Gish, D.W. Griffith, and Fatty Arbuckle with the sole purpose of causing a friend of mine grievous mental trauma for a slight he committed against me.

My question is, is it still a slash fiction if it involves real people? I mean, they're all dead, but they were once truly alive.

Thank you in advance,

UM

Does it involve sexual acts? If so, yes.

EDIT: Well that's kind of broad so I guess I should be more specific. If the whole reason for the piece is the sex, then yeah--that's kind of what makes it slashfiction. If there's sexual acts but it's not super-detailed and it's not really the focal point...you might have a different case. I think it's the line between pornography and, well, stuff that just has sex in it. For example, there's sex in the Highlander films, but Highlander isn't porn, and the point of those movies is dudes chopping off other dudes' heads.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Yeah, the whole reason for the piece is sex. Horrible, uncomfortable, early 1900's sex.

Well, the whole point of the piece is to deeply upset the reader I emailed it to, but it does that through being all about sex.

So... I guess, slash fiction it is.

I was not the target. But, I did read it, and can vouch for it being mildly disturbing. There were a few lost opporunities for laughs and depravity. But, over-all, Honey Bear delivered. Unfortunately, the intended target has thus far refused to read it.
