Want another example of Hasbro "thinking outside the box" only to weak results? TF Crossovers - Star Wars and Marvel. They survive, barely, but they're controlled by other licensees and brands rather than TF, they support other IP, not TF.
That isn't quite what I was looking for though. I don't want TF as a toy-concept filled in with another, existing IP; I'd just like to see it transition/change into something different than what it's been for a while now.

The point I've been trying to make is that the first time TF shook up its conceptual status quo and reinvented itself (Autobots and Decepticons turning into vehicles switching to Maximals and Predacons turning into realistic animals) it did gangbusters.
Look at Transtech, that was trying to at least extend the box and what happened? Abortion.
Like Six said, that was more due to the poor performance of BM than anything else, and there was a litany of factors contributing to that.
Tell that to years of US success with Gundam despite no media support 90% of the time.
Haha, what? Gundam tanked on US toy shelves the second there wasn't a dubbed anime on Toonami to support it. There hasn't been an actual US Gundam merchandise release in decades; the kits are only brought over here by specialty distributors to specifically-ordering hobby shops and the like (same position KR toys in America are in, actually). Ironically, the Gundam media itself persists in America, with stuff like Seed, 00, and The Origin manga all getting official releases and even TV airings, but with no product brought over to ride on that.
Are there really "huge" fanbases here, or is the reason you put it in quotes because it's relatively large compared to other Japanese imports that have tiny fanbases over here?
Over-Time's subtitled episode of last week's episode of Kamen Rider Wizard has 4,513 completed torrent downloads for the HD version, and 2,590 completed for the SD version. That doesn't take into account people who DDL, watch streaming, or download TV-Nihon's subs instead. It also obviously doesn't count Kamen Rider fans who aren't watching Wizard because it sucks.

Whatever happened to that Beast Wars Megatron retool using that FOC Grimlock toy. http://www.tfw2005.com/transformers-new ... es-177248/

The prototype/test shot pics were released on April of 2013 yet Hasbro hasn't officially released any info or pics about this. I would think Botcon & SDCC would have been the perfect spot for Hasbro to release info/pics on this toy.

Did this toy get cancelled? is this a NYCC 2013 convention exclusive by Hasbro? will this toy be revealed at NYCC 2013 in a few weeks?
Is this the poll winner megatron toy?

If we don't see this toy at NYCC 2013,Will it at least be shown at the NYC Hasbro 2013 Toyfair? if it's not shown at NYCC nor Toyfair,do the chances of this being cancelled or a on-line hoax greatly increase?
