Star Drive vs. Nemesis: name of the G1 'con ship

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!
Generation 1, Generation 2 - Removable fists? Check. Unlicensed vehicle modes? Check. Kickass tape deck robot with transforming cassette minions? DOUBLE CHECK!!!

If this were Invader Zim, I would totally believe it. The Irken flagship was called The Massive, afterall. And ran on snacks. ;)
When Gomess first called it the Full, my first thought was of the Tallest  Glad I'm not the only one.
From now on I'm calling the Decepticon Cruiser THE FULL! It's more awesome that way. :D

Way back in my first post I mentioned the Dark Side (or DarksYde if you know how to spell cool) was just a throwaway line that the fandom kind of jumped on as the actual name of the Pred ship. In this case though, the BW Transmetals game did use Darksyde as the name in an official capacity. Also to note is the japanese name of the ship, the Terror Diver. Of course, since the dub had to come later, Darksyde is still the psuedo official name, I guess. Just thought I'd toss that out there.

And speaking of bridges and BW, anyone ever notice how the bridge that Primal and Dinobot fought on in episode 2, which was blown up by the Preds, is miraculously back in place for the rest of the series? At least I'm pretty sure it is.

The problem with the Full is that it's now invariably full.... OF WATER! Ha ha ha ha ha.

There's also a particularly unforgivable art shift in AHM #9. Guido Guidi couldn't do the art for that issue (in his defense, I think his wife was pregnant or something like that) so the issue is split up between two guys--one guy drawing the parts happening on Cybertron with the Autobots (and these are a well-done imitation of Guidi's style; I had problems initially telling it wasn't him) and another guy drawing the Earth stuff with Spike and the Decepticons...which is done in a really horribly cartoony style that doesn't match anything, in the book or in IDW's 'entire library.' It really makes one impactful scene have no weight at all and makes it a little difficult to tell what, exactly, is going on. (Issue 9 also has the most idiotic bit of character healing ever; overall 9 is probably the worst part of the entire series, but the rest are good!)

I could tell what was happening in issue 9. But, yeah, the art was bad. It was a text book example of what McCarthy was talking about in an interview when he was saying it is sometimes better to wait and do something right, rather than rush it through.

Dom
-why bother half assing fill in art?

I had Dom telling me how good AHM was for almost a year before I read it, and I can honestly say it's one of the best TF stories I've ever read.

You should read it. You will like it.

And, some argue that "Last Stand of the Wreckers" is even better. From a technical sense, I cannot dispute that.

And, do not count out the ongoing.

Dom
-Wreckers is also one compilation, and thus cheaper.

It's just the matter of spending *money* and *time* on it. That is a big investment for me and my mindset. I don't suppose any of you guys could animate the comics and publish them for free...?
