Ok, I know exactly zilch about Pokemon, but are you guys telling me that, in a game genre where the differentiation from one title to the next is nothing more than color, that they would actually refrain from using the colors black and white because SOMEONE, somewhere might maybe find it offensive? My point exactly. It would be stupid if they had to change the English titles from Black and White. Personally, I doubt that they will. If anyone is offended by it, they need to get a grip. There is nothing offensive about color.

They probably won't. Whoever heads their US operations is probably already pussified to the point of changing them. Just like they did when they took the blood out of the SNES version of Mortal Kombat. With any luck maybe they'll remember the lessen they learned from that when everybody got so pissed that the blood wasn't kept that they went and bought a Genesis instead and then Nintendo left the blood in subsequent versions. Let's face it, they've always been the Disney of the video game world.

If they go the gem route they could change them to Onyx and Pearl I suppose. I have to confess that since I really can't stand Pokemon I'm not likely to find out what happens with this. I just hate pussification on this level.

Ninty of America was like that in the early 90s, yes, but they've softened since then. The last I heard of major censorship was with Ganondorf coughing up blood at the end of Ocarina of Time, which got changed to green--and IIRC this was only because of the ESRB.

Yes. Although that evokes awesome African tribal Pokemon game, which is not what this will be. That'd rule ass, though.
