Star Drive vs. Nemesis: name of the G1 'con ship

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!

This from the guy who is ALWAYS saying "why hold a property back if it can be easily improved?" =p
I am just saying that the offenses of ignoring the sourcebook and having illogical is nothing new. "War Within" did enough other things right that I will forgive common/normalized offenses.

Hang on, from a guy who thinks Raiz is even a passable sequential artist, I'm not sure what "bad" means. =p

There is one notable sequence of panels where a couple of Autobots are talking about how a bridge that they are looking at is the *only* way across a chasm. It is absolutely, positively and certainly the only way across. They totally made sure of it.

Well, apparently, they missed a bridge that was (at most) a half mile away.

Inconsistent character models, (possible due to Hasbro interfering) were also an issue.

Heh, well that sounds like poor quality editing rather than poor quality art. Lazy, maybe... but poor quality? Dunnaw.

I would still argue that the bridge in the background wouldn't necessarily connect to the part of the city that they Autobots were heading into. A bridge half a mile away from another bridge likely leads to another part of the city or maybe even a completely different city. The Autobots might be heading into Polyhex. The bridge in the background might be the bridge to Altihex. It could still take the insecticons a half hour to get to said bridge, about 15 min to cross it then depending on the layout of the city it could take a half hour or more to get to where the Autobots are assuming that there's even roads that connect that way. So blowing the bridge they were on meant they would be safe "for the moment". They even stated in that issue that they only delayed the swarm getting to them by a few hours.

-Dom's right there still shouldn't have been a bridge there.

They totally checked. Oh no, the "made sure of it".

There is a river not too far from where I live with 3 birdges that are at least .5 miles from each other, (one is probably more). The two outer bridges are visibile from the middle bridge. They would be hard to miss.

It almost seems that the artist did not read the script. (Such things do happen.)

Ok, so if you're on foot (like the insecticons were) and you were at the middle bridge and suddenly had to walk to one of the other two bridges to cross said river, how long do you estimate that it would take you to get to the other side of the middle bridge? Even if you run, you're still probably looking at about an hour. That still would have given the Autobots plenty of time to hide and regroup.

Well, the west bridge is really close to the middle bridge. (And, there is a fourth bridge.)

The fact that the Autobots totally checked and made sure of it makes the panel unintentionaly hilarious.

I think it's the kind of mistake I can live with. I grew up on TM"N"T. You learn to forgive editing goofs real fast.

The building where I work is right across the river from a major shopping area of the city (actually the part where the city was originally founded). There are two bridges that are about a half a mile from each other. Walking from one to the other and then across would take at least an hour. Probably less if one were to run at a decent speed. But, if I were chasing an enemy across one bridge and then had to get around the other to reach where he was he would effectively have escaped by blowing the one bridge as he would likely have found an ample hiding spot by the time I got there.

-Could probably actually do a time/motion test on this. But won't.
