That could be an interesting idea for the 2nd rider actually. Especially if it was rotated among Yuki, Miu and Tomoko.

BWprowl wrote:Yeah, when the whole Switcher/Zodiarts monster system was revealed in the first episode, my first reaction was to label it a Dopant rip-off as well.
Same reaction from me, but after the revelation that these Switches are being palmed off to the students, it kinda made sense. If the kids are to be enticed to use it, it needs to be concealable and easy to operate.

Oh? Whatever could you possibly mean?

At least it's not Kamen Rider Geisha.

Kamen Rider Footbinding.

Kamen Rider TrainMolester.

...Now I'm just being silly. But, seriously Japan, sort it out. Nadeshiko, FFS (yeah, she's named after the football team, but what are THEY named after... sigh).

Been catching up with Sky Rider, Stronger only appears in costume and his voice reeaally doesn't sound like the original's.... =[ Oh well. Guess it's not gonna be the Decade - Shouwa Style I thought it'd be. Although looking at future episode titles, there's a SLIM chance some of the earlier Riders than Stronger might appear out of costume. Good times. If Sky Rider turns into a live action version of Kamen Rider Spirits, I will NOT complain!

I don't get it. What's this word mean?

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

"Yamato Nadeshiko" is the outdated (even in Japan) concept of the Ultimate Japanese Woman. Clean, 'beautiful', obedient, all that shit.

She may as well be called Kamen Rider Goodwife.

And bear in mind there is a severe shortage of female Riders, so this little feminist outburst of mine is hardly unfounded. We finally get a new one and she's got the most sexist name they could've reasonably given her.

So it'd be like if the black guy who was Kamen Rider was named Kamen Rider Negro, basically? But it's okay because there's a popular basketball team called the Milwaukee Negros? Okay then. Clears things up.

Mercifully there's already been a Kamen Rider Black. He wasn't black.

Hmmm... I really wish Psiga had caught on more. English-speaking Taiwanese! A little more racial diversity in tokusatsu would be greatly appreciated. Just imagine if one day a mysterious Rider removed their helmet and it was, like, an Indian woman. FAAAAN OUUUTTRRRAAAAGE

Well there's Shun now. He's not a Rider, but he is a combatant, and part of the main character herd. And he's...half-Caucasian. Progress?!

Yeah, but it's the linguistics I'm really interested in. Unfortunately, as my girlfriend says:

The attempts at hip English in Fourze thus far are clunky as heck. 'Oops!' But I think that's the best we'll get for a while.

An actor friend of mine did vow to become the first Caucasian actor to portray a Super Sentai member. Wish him luck! =|

Nono, a *full-time* member of the team. Yeah, I know it won't ever happen either. Yay Japan.

Meteor's helmet design is nice, but god I'm bored of the "look" of Rider actors we've been getting lately. I honestly thought Ank was the start of something new, and Gentarou really seemed to be capitalising on that.... and then we go back to this generic mo'fo. Ah well. He might be cool onscreen, but that look..... bleh.
