Animated Series discussion thread (spoilers allowed)

Some cartoon with big chins and a little girl that got beloved by fans and taken off TV to make way for a different show on another network. Yeah, that's fair.

Why are they making new head mold for Cliffjumper, a non-show character, but not for Wasp?

Dom
-plans to get Bumblebee in that upcoming boxed set, and likely Longarm/Shockwave.

Cliffjumper 'is' a show character, just unnamed. Perhaps he has a larger role in S3.

Mind, we've got no word of a Waspinator toy at all yet, so we'll have to see.

Actually a "DLX WASPINAT" has shown up in Wal*Mart computers.

Do we know it's not a 25th BW Waspy, though?

I'd imagine Waspy is going to get either an earth mode body or a beast mode. I don't see them making a new mold toy for his cybertronian mode and I don't think we'll get a green repaint of deluxe bumblebee, since we're already getting that elite guard repaint.

It was found with listings for "DLX BLUR[sic]", "DLX SWINDL", "VOY WRECKG" and "VOY SHOCKWA" so I'd assume so.

Then again, we're getting both Patrol Bumblebee and Cliffjumper. I expect Wasp to be a significant retool of DeluxeBee.

Hrm, I'm kinda hoping Wasp is a new mold now. Or at least retooled significantly enough to make up for that mold's faults.

I'm a little confused, are they calling him Wasp or Waspinator now? Sane version is Wasp, crazy version is Waspinator? That almost makes sense...

So far they've only called him Wasp in the show. Maybe if/when he returns he'll change it to Waspinator.
