Also, after having a Nerf shootout with my niece, I got out my whole Nerf arsenal in preparation for an upcoming battle and gathered it all together before I added the 75 new darts:

And all of that is in my HasbroToyShop SDCC bag.
I wish I had someone to shoot at and justify that amount of armament.
Sucks big time! My Hasbro Star Wars figures from 2004 are yellowing horribly even when having never been exposed to air or light, so it's definitely inevitable.
Thing is, I have the Costco Black Magnus somewhere, and he's not yellowing at all last I looked. So maybe it was just the conditions in my mother's attic.
Unicron is worth making room for. Primus is rougher because he's not as big and not making as large a statement, so you have to make a totally DIFFERENT place for him which is doubly difficult. I've got my Primus in planet mode for now under Unicron's bot mode until I make room on other shelving.
You underestimate the complete lack of space in this apartment. I used to have a big shelf in my room at my mother's house that was big enough to house both planetoids and then some--I had a small display of Unicronian minions underneath it for a time.
That is weird, aren't those missiles inside the doors and fully incapable of eject without a minicon?
Yeah, except someone at some point discovered that Wheeljack could hold his missiles like clubs, and I decided to do that, before the collection was packed away, by someone who wasn't me...so.

It might be in a parts bin somewhere.

How long did you go not knowing that Wheeljack could hold his missiles? He's doing it on the box and everything, I pop them out and stick them in his hands every time I transform him!

I love Armada Wheeljack as a concept, and his toy is one of the ones that holds up (I keep it around regularly). I should get off my ass and re-fix that Universe Sideswipe-based custom Dom sent me.

I dunno. By "at some point" it might have been "two weeks after I got him."

Wheeljack has been in storage since about 2007, so it couldn't have been that long.

Went to the parents' house after we went out to dinner on Saturday and my Dad had this big box of cds he got from someone. So I rummaged through and came home with like, 12-15. Highlights are two Van Halen albums, Journey's greatest hits, U2 The Joshua Tree and other stuff mostly from the 80's.

Got a haul of new BBTS stuff that I paid for ages ago! Had them ship it recently because I've been down and could use some new toys.

-New Marvel Universe Hulk. This guy is a beast, and a vast improvement on the previous Hulk mould that I never actually got. (Scourge sent me one, but that box got stolen, so.) Mine's left hand is a little tight, I'm afraid to turn it without breaking it--might run it under water or something.
-Miles Morales Spiderman! BBTS was very vague on whether or not I'd actually receive this variant--thankfully, I did! Mine's legs are a little warped from the packaging, though, which sucks.
-Future Foundation Spiderman! I didn't, uh, actually read any of the Future Foundation comics...nor do I own the rest of the team. But Spidey gets the best costume redesigns, and also I'm trying to get toys of all the Spidey variants, so! I'm not sure I like the grey highlights, but y'know, what're you gonna do? Now to get the inverted variant, and pretend it's Venom.
-Beta Ray Bill. I have also never read a Beta Ray Bill comic. I am such a poser. Anybody got some recs?

Another 75 Nerf Elite darts, Target had them on sale for $18 and then a 30% off coupon on any Nerf purchase, but since I didn't see any blasters I really needed to have I bought more darts for $12. Both the first and second batches I got had 1 dart get ruined in their test run, despite the test running them in different blasters. So now I have 148 new Elite darts. :p

Also, that damned ping pong set has me constantly bouncing those ping pong balls on a paddle, what a noisy nervous habit!

When it comes to Nerf, if you build it, they will come. ;) Target currently has a 30% off 1 Nerf purchase coupon in this week's flyer, and there are a number of blasters worth considering. I suggest getting the Strongarm pistol, it's a great start, and once you get a few blasters you like, you'll eventually find a scenario where you can shoot back. Also, if you have enough to go around, having friends over and letting them use 'em can start its own battle.
Thing is, I have the Costco Black Magnus somewhere, and he's not yellowing at all last I looked. So maybe it was just the conditions in my mother's attic.
That figure was shot 3 years later, it could be that it hasn't yellowed YET, or it could be that the factory mixed that batch of plastic with better ratios of dyes and plasticizers. Generally, the conditions that can yellow a plastic that'd otherwise stay whole are UV light (sun exposure) and smoke, temperature can assist in breaking down chemicals but in these cases I'm pretty sure those were breaking down anyway due to factory laziness or bad materials or what have you.

Sorry to hear it. Fishing line from the ceiling? Actually, no, you can't live with a woman and expect to get away with that one.

Ugh, yeah, I remember that thing about using his missiles as clubs was really big when we were on the BWTF forums. That sucks, hopefully you can find them in a bin. If not, I've seen that figure a lot on the loose at Botcon and SDCC, you probably have a good chance of tracking down replacements.

Nice! I need to find friends like that.

I'm not sure how much he's moved around in the last almost 6 years--I wasn't around. So it's possible he could have been sitting out in an overly sunlit room (I do know he was on the sunrise end of the house for a while), which might attribute to most of the damage.

It's not 'terrible,' but it is noticable.

You underestimate how cool my woman is. If I weren't afraid of them falling down, I'd do it.

Yeah, it won't be too hard to replace--just takes time and money, the latter of which is very scarce right now.

I freakin' love Beta Rey Bill. I have a series called Stormbreaker that was pretty good. I should see if I still have it of if it got purged at some point. If I still have it, you're welcome to it.

Grabbed Beast Hunters Deluxe Bulkhead last night, because he looked neat, and between Target’s sale and a $3 off coupon from Hasbro, I was able to get him for seven bucks, so why not? That Hasbro designer who really really wants to make a new Roadbuster is up to his old tricks with this one, if it weren’t for the fact that this is the first Deluxe Bulkhead mold we’ve gotten I’d almost say it feels more like a Bulkhead retooled into a TFPrime version of Roadbuster, he even has a new, visored headsculpt distinct from Bulkhead’s regular look, and the way the backpack shell works is particularly evocative of the pack Roadbuster’s design had in AHM. No guns or anything, sadly, which would seal the deal, but the buzzsaw weapon is neat enough. Decently posable, especially for such a chunky guy, but the thigh swivels on mine are looser than I’d like and he’s saddled with the always disappointing sideways hands. Transformation’s pretty cool, at least, being a shellformer that tucks his kibble together in interesting ways, though between the way he’s packaged and the design not being particularly distinct, arranging his grille/bumper assembly for vehicle mode isn’t super-intuitive. Be nice if it snapped into place as a chestplate in robot mode more securely too. Vehicle mode’s really cool though, all tumbly and chunky and Roadbuster-y, even if there’s really no good place to mount the saw (none of its points would let it actually DO anything in this mode). Not a bad toy, but not as inspiring as the Predacons, or as damn fun/entertaining as Voyager Optimus, but not bad for seven bucks, at least. My primary worry is that he appears to be made out of very GPS-looking gold plastic, but I could just be being paranoid, as I’d hope Hasbro would’ve learned their lesson on that by now.

Thanks to JT, (and Honey Bear), I ended up with two FoC Starscreams. (They both found Starscream for me within an hour of each other. Honey Bear ended up taking the extra for himself, and buying some Kreons off of me.)
