You claim not to like Beast Wars because of fans that do like it though...
Truth be told, I can see Tiger's point on this. Episodes like "The Low Road" are a waste of my time as a hobbyist and as a viewer. It was a fart joke with 20+ minutes of set-up. (And, yes, I know that Forward was going out of his way to write the worst possible episode that delivered on everything that he was told to put in to an "ideal" episode. But, the end result was garbage.)
The fart joke I'd agree was terrible, but "The Low Road" as a whole episode really wasn't that bad of an episode. I mean, the episode itself is about Rattrap and Dinobot working together after their fighting caused Rhinox to be in the condition he's in. And although they constantly fight, they work together when it matters.
Much of the humour in BW, particularly later episodes, was just obnoxious.
Such as...?
-fart jokes should be quick and unexpected.
Considering Rhinox spent the whole episode hiccuping energon, and we had no idea wild beans would effect a Transformer in that way... The actual joke itself is pretty quick and unexpected.

How is that obnoxious humor?

It was really dumb and out of place? And the third season was full of that, and it was mandated by Hasbro?

The situation for the Maximals was bad on two fronts and Optimus was infected with a 'transmetal cyber virus' that was causing havoc with his systems. They used that bit of humor as a tension breaker. A lot of shows and movies use seemingly random humor like that for the exact same reason. It's not out of place at all. It was funny and worked for what they needed it for.
And the third season was full of that, and it was mandated by Hasbro?
Again, like what? And what mandate from Hasbro? Beast Wars had humor throughout the series, not just the third season.

The bits with the proto humans were annoying and obnoxious as well. Come to think of it, I think that was from the same episode.

Actually, it might have been mandated by Mainframe, as a way to broaden the show's marketabiilty. (I heard something to this effect, but it was 10+ years ago, so I might be remembering something wrong.)

But, yeah, it was fucking stupid.

It got worse in season 3, both in terms of frequency and degree of intrusiveness.

Now that I'd agree with. I didn't really care for the episodes with a focus on the proto-humans either. Although that wasn't because it was a comedy thing.

So you keep saying, with out really providing anything to support that claim...
-Megatron is spinning like a top!
A tiny bit of comic relief all things considered after a tense battle scene, in what is largely a dark and gritty 2 part episode.

Stuff like that just seemed even more out of place in the serious episodes. The third season is largely regarded as the worst.

It's a cartoon for kids. Serious only goes so far.
The third season is largely regarded as the worst.
That's a pretty vague generalization right there. I might agree it gets a fair amount of criticism but that's not to say it's necessarily all about the comedy in the show or that it's regarded as the worst at all.
