One thing to remember in this case is that TigMeg is a lot more…visible in the TF fan community than we are. This, coupled with the ah, content of much of what he posts, as well as his general demeanor, makes him a prime target for trolling attempts such as this one. It’s your stock schoolyard mentality: You screw with the people who are going to give you the most entertaining reaction, which seems to be what Deathy (and now you, Shock, though I sincerely doubt anyone but us really reads this board) are giving to this guy. Plus, TigMegs himself is a pretty usual suspect for internet shenanigans; s’the reason he has the ‘honor’ of having his own encyclopediadramatica page, or why ‘David Willis’ saw fit to create a fake Twitter page (I also enjoy the distinction: David Willis creates fake Twitter page, okay because he’s a famous funny internet cartoonist. ‘Scottie’ creates fake Google Groups posts, not okay because you don’t know/like this guy). If you act a certain way on the internet, and are overtly visible about doing so, people are going to find ways to mess with you over it. It’s just the way of things. Trolling someone on the internet is *hardly* as bad as terrorism or rape, and it cheapens the victims of those crimes to compare them to one fanboy with poor social skills getting butthurt over some fake Google posts.

I tend to call it the "trailer park dynamic" or the "human cancer factor". Either way, it is a situation where an obnoxious asshole creates a situation that there is no good way to handle. They are not going to shut the hell up if you try to ignore them, and if you respond you are giving them the attention that they crave.

They apparently have nothing better to do with their time than be obnoxious and take the joy out of everything. Some people deal with them at school. (Actually, I would guess most of dealt with them in school as kids.) Some of them do not grow up, so we who do grow up have to deal with them in college or in the office. Sometimes, we deal with them in our hobbies, especially online.

While I’ll continue to point out that it’s still hardly equitable with rape or terrorism, I will agree that this sort of thing can be frustrating/annoying. That said, I think it really needs to be pointed out in the case that Deathy’s ‘online rep’ is about as airtight as Bernie Madoff’s charity portfolio. Let’s not kid ourselves, and remember who we’re talking about here.

Maybe, but my point was that said page has been around a while, showing that this (obviously, in hindsight) wasn’t nearly the first time Deathy’s obnoxiousness and questionable behavior resulted in him earning ridicule from the internet. ED may be a bunch of mean-spirited cads, but you still have to *do* something to get their attention. None of us wound up with an ED page, after all.

We are not a large enough board. Dude, they have footage of a kid posting her first YouTube video and they are mocking her....because she posted a video. It was not a great video. (It was a 12 year old talking to a camera that her friend was holding.) But, it was hardly mock-worthy. Yeah, she will get over it, (assuming she even knows). But, the fact that ED saw fit to go after her video shows that they need to get over shit.

They have a special hard-on for the AllSpark, which is also there way of sticking it to Transfans as a whole. Yeah, AllSpark is more obnoxious than we are. But, that is not the real reason ED hammers them.

(Aside: A friend of mine suspects that ED and AllSpark have a fair amount of overlap in membership.)

I've decided to fully ignore this scottie on alt.toys.transformers. i'm gonna let him waste all his free time+energy via pretending to be me & trolling Alt.toy.transformers with over 12 troll attack threads daily.

Last night when i came home from work,it was really a pathetic sight to witness. this scottie guy was creating 2 troll threads every hour starting from 7pm & ending at around 2:00am. by the time scottie was done he wasted 7 hours of his time & created about 12 threads with trolling stuff like cursing,perverted language,threats to hack my bank account,my ip address,my cel phone number.

I'm just gonna sit back,ignore & watch this scottie guy spiral out of control. either he'll have a nervous break down or get kicked out of his basement by his parents.

yeah walky from wigii!! was behind the fake deathy twitter account. If anyone clicks on that deathy twitter page,they'll see tons of advertisement site banners in walky's wiggii!! sponsored names. when i visited the site over 2 years ago. I noticed a ton of side banners,top banners & bottom banner advertising david walky's wigii!! & other stuff he's into. plus I saw tons of david walky click on links that went to his sites he owns. the email address on the site was also from david walky/wigii!!

They mock these things because it's *funny* (to them, anyway). I sincerely doubt some twelve-year-old girl is cruising ED seeing if she has a page to be offended my, anyway. My *point* (once again) was that Deathy's ED page was evidence that his 'presence' attracted enough attention that it warranted his own personal mocking-space on a site with a particular predisposition for slamming people who act like this. If you know how to behave in a socially acceptable manner in public online forums (ie, not like a spastic fuckwit) then you won't attract this sort of attention. Deathy apparently doesn't, and thus he gets people like ED, Walky, and this alleged troll screwing with him.

To put it another way: Do you think TM would be having these issues if he didn't post tl;dr recollections of him throwing a tantrum in a Target because they wouldn't sell him a toy he ended up returning less than a week later? Sometimes, you're just asking for it.
