I do not think Inferno was short-packed so much as popular. Being a red fire-truck means instant kid-appeal. And, it was a good looking, and fun toy, giving it additional appeal to collectors. (I snagged 2, and customized one.)

And, my haul for the month:

"Transformer: Generations" w/ clear Mirage (Ligier)

I ordered this months ago, when ordering toys from Japan did not seem like such a bad idea. (I miss having some degree of financial stability.) Anyway, cost aside, this is a very nice set. I plan to post a review by the end of the week.

It's not so much that he was shortpacked, I think, but that the stores weren't much bothering with the Universe Voyagers at that point. At least around here, they weren't. I too only ever saw a few on the shelves, and the same goes for his casemates. I expect sales for the voyagers were fairly stagnant compared to the other Universe sized classes, largely owing to the fact that the first few waves consisted entirely of repaints, and Inferno ended up being the ONLY new mold for the class in the entire line.
I disappear.

I'm in central texas, there's some sort of weird distribution timewarp here. There were a couple Dropshots lingering around too, but only one Inferno. His box was a little dinged up, but the toy was fine, so maybe someone bought and returned him unopened? I have no idea how he survived there so long.

The problem with my area is that everywhere around here over-ordered on the previous waves of Voyagers and, hence, we ended up with a glut of them. I never saw Inferno because Treadshot is *still* lingering around. To this day.

I fear the same problem happening currently, since I cannot find Long Haul at all.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I still really really want a Dropshot if anyone has any cheap near them, he wasn't released here. Also want Predacon_Bruticus. Must get. Bwaah.

Sales meant I netted Legends ROTF Prime and Jetfire. Only got them because they combine. It's rather neat at this scale, and will look good next to the full-sized ones.

Also got Long Haul a few days back, have been posting my thoughts on him in the reviews forum.

I got Movie/Universe Bruticus Maximus a while back. I like him a LOT better than Superion, mostly because Onslaught/Barricade is so much better than Silverbolt/Stormjet, and the combined form is stronger for it. The limbots are good as ever, but not *quite* as fun as Superion's. Really good colors and decos though, love the number/letter tampo's on them, especially Swindle and Brawl. Too bad they got the kibble all wrong: the Tanks make good arms, but they have the better foot kibble, and the copters are best as legs, but have hand-kibble that actually looks like hands! Bah! Also, the ratchet apparently got left out of the combiner joint on my Vortex; he just swivels loosely as a leg. That sucks. Still a cool toy overall though, looks delightfully big and menacing combined.

Also picked up Gunsmith Cats Burst Vol. 4. Just as I had been complaining to my friends earlier that day about Dark Horse not releasing it too, so points for synergy!

My parents just threw out their old computer. As such I netted myself a free hard drive and a free floppy diskette drive along with various other potentially useful cords and cables. Free e-waste counts as a haul right? I also inherited more assorted Masonic bling. Which reminds me that my parents bought me a Tux. And a transformers t-shirt. Come to think of it, I really have gotten some stuff this month.

Activators Soundwave- Sweet, picked this guy up. He's everywhere, despite my initial fears that he would be swooped up. Pretty cool toy. Vehicle mode could be a bit more stable, but it's fine really. Robot mode is nicely poseable with less squat proportions than the Deluxe version, which I like. Needs a bit more paint, but otherwise looks really good. One thing: None of the Activators come with accessories, but Soundwave really hurts for it. He badly needs his Bitchin' Birdguitar to make the whole thing come alive. I wonder how difficult it would be to kitbash one... Still, a good toy on its own, really. Might pick up Firepower Grimlock later, that deco just looks really nice to me.

Also picked up Bleach Vol. 28. I badly need to catch up on Manga buying.

The Guitar Hero toy line sells guitars by themselves, maybe one of those repainted would work?

Ooh, good idea. I'll have to look into that.
