I didn't know that because I haven't owned a Nintendo console since the Gamecube.

(Okay, I'm lying, I have Prowl's DSi.)

Thought I'd blow the dust off this topic and post some early thoughts on a game I started today. I got Sonic Colors for my birthday this week. It's the first 3D Sonic game I've played since Sonic and the Secret Rings which I've never completed. Never cared for the motion controls in that game, it made it so much more difficult to control. But I've been really enjoying Colors so far. I've beaten the first 3 worlds already, so I can tell it's not going to be a very long game. I'm surprised how short some of the acts are actually. But I can tell they want you to come back and replay levels after you unlock the Wisps in later levels in order to get the Red Rings, since that's the only way to get many of them. I've done a bit of that already as well. The Wisp powers are pretty interesting. Kinda odd how the Hover and Spike powers pretty much replaces the Light Speed Dash and Spin Dash.

I never played Colours, but I did beat Generations. So there's that!

(Someone toss "Generations" into the pile of "things to never subtitle anything ever again," aside "The Revenge Of," "Legends," "Origins," "Legacy," and "Vengeance.")

Unfortunately they didn't release Generations for the Wii. I've heard it's a decent enough game but that fans were hoping for a more from it.

I recently heard that it was considered some massive video game feat to complete the original Legend of Zelda without a sword. So I tried it. Got three levels into it and found out it was kind of a moot point anyway since you can't kill Ganon without a sword. Also, I had bomb issues, as in not being able to hold enough of them to advance any further. Other than that, I've been killing my time with Minecraft. The 360 version just got a new texture pack for it that makes everything look all futuristicy and so I've been making the Enterprise D interior with it. Got the Bridge, Engineering and a Transporter room finished as well as a functional living quarters.

Fiddled around with a 2DS at comic-con today. I've been on the fence about getting pokemon, and if I did I'd probably do so with a 2DS. I'm surprised there aren't any bundles- think they might come out with something closer to Christmas?

It's possible, but I have no idea...

Spent pretty much my whole weekend playing the game. I've been playing pretty slowly, catching Pokemon on each route before moving on. So I've just gotten up to the 5th Gym. Really loving the updates to this game. It looks great in 3D.

Been replaying a lot of Resident Evil games for the month of October. So far I've gone through RE1, RE2 and RE: Dead Aim. I still have RE3, RE4 and Code Veronica to go, and later this month RE5 Gold Edition is showing up on layaway.

Hot balls, that's 'slow' to you? I played most of the weekend too (though I was at my parents' house not playing for a part of Sunday), and I barely beat the second Gym last night, my dudes all being in the 20-22 level range. And judging from the levels of guys along the next route, I'll need to grind a bit before going any further.

Admittedly I did spend an hour or so in the Glittering Cave getting a Mawile because I really wanted one, and spent a bit grinding before the first Gym, and messed around with new features like the Super Training (Pokemon-Amie less so), but otherwise I've been trucking along. I'm kind of amazed at the prospect of being like 2/3rds done with an RPG in a weekend being considered 'slow'.

I'm not crazy about the 3D effect chopping the framerate down, nor with the game's inconsistent implimentation of it, so I generally just have it turned off. It does look great in general though.
