Sandman volume 6. Had a coupon, was only fifteen bucks with tax. One step closer to completing the series. Yay for finite works!

Spent Wednesday and Thursday visiting cousins in Fremont. Cool times. Picked up Hayate the Combat Butler vol. 11 while I was there; for some reason this has been insistent in not appearing on shelves in my neck of the woods, so I decided to go for it when I saw it there.

Thanks to Prowl's tip in the "Sightings" thread, I headed to Target and found Activators Soundwave and Fireblast Grimlock.

Man, that Grimlock's colorscheme is outtasight, but I picked up Soundwave because screw it, new Animated Mold, why not. Flaming Grims is totally next, though.

Soundwave's okay, I have a feeling I'll get more of a grip on how his van mode stays together more as I fidget with him some more. Neat take on the transformation, though.

I really like these lil' guys, they have great fiddle factor and a neat aesthetic.

well, I finally caved.
My walmart was having sale, they knocked down leaders to 30 bucks a pop, so I got me prime and jetfire.
Now, I've come to the conclusion that Habsor is out to piss me off. I mean, I loved the movie, even with the truncheon humor....

anyways, I love Jetfires alt mode, looking from the top, just not happy with taking robot parts and slinging a jet on his back.
Reading the interview with the ROTF designers getting pics of bot modes and alt modes and told to make a toy in least amount of time possible....it shows, just disappointed in rush jobs...

anyways, I do like these guys, nice and big, but, just wish they'd put a bit more thought into them. They are going the way of Bandai with Power Rangers crap.....

sorry for the rant, I'm just not happy anymore......

I wouldn't go that far. Power Rangers toys are ridiculously simplistic--while Jetfire is anything but.

Woo, new stuff! Finally!

They delayed the second wave of ROTF Deluxes here (Second wave assuming the preview wave as 'wave 0'), so we ended up getting ReBarricade/CannonBee/Mudflap/Ravage before Wheelie/Chromia/Skids/ReBrawl/Smokescreen.

I picked up Wheelie and Skids, the girlfriend nabbed Chromia. Passing on Smokescreen as I already have four of the Jazz mould, but decided I will get Brawl at some stage. Chromia is pretty damned awful, that's a terrible excuse for a deluxe toy. Still, I must see the combination, that peg does intrigue. If it's good enough, I'll buy the three bikes. Can't see how it could be anything above average, but a gestalt's a gestalt, and whatchagonnado.

Wheelie is great, nice articulation and super-keen transformation from tiny RC truck to lanky, expressive robot. The finger articulation and face transformation joints make him extremely expressive. I dig the flippy symbol, wish there were stronger leg joints tho'. Doesn't appear to have had anything cut out of him, surprisingly. Definitely a recommendation from me, whether you like the character or not.

Skids too is rather neat. I'd messed with a friend's one some time ago, he imported prior to the release here, and that convinced me to buy Mudflap, who turned out to be pretty average if more complex than he looks. Skids is also much more satisfying and complex than you'd think, with a fun vehicle mode, and a tubby little robot with a punching gimmick that's neater than it should be. Well worth getting if you're considering a twin, again, character aside.

I really wish Skids' punchy fist was a missile. Seriously.

Chromia has almost kind of sorta grown on me. A little. She still sucks, but this would be a great Basic toy.

Walmart was kind to me tonight! Or cruel, depending on how you feel about my finances:

ROTF Ejector and TFU Inferno. Appropriate, in a way.

Shit, how'd you manage that? Did they put out a case way late?

Inferno had to have been shortpacked. I found one, but I only saw the thing in stores maybe three times, and it was gone. Congrats on finding one.
