Well, after reading about those Bat-Robos, I now have the old Pow-R-Tron commercial jingle stuck in my head. And I way want one now, too. And some of the Mutants, because they're just rad.

I look at Wheelie, and I dunno, I kinda like him. Maybe I'm just incapable of saying I don't like a Wheelie. Perhaps the Short-Curcuit vibe works in his favor, of maybe I just love the freakshow sorts, but I'm so in for that toy. He cool.

I dunno, Cutthroat's sorta odd for being a chicken monster, but I'd have to concur with o86 that RiD Bruticus kinda wins, I think. That sucker's way nuts in both modes. When I first got him, I'd fiddle with him forever trying to figure the sonofaglitch out.

Who is that in the previews for ROTF that looks like a giant wheel with half a body on it? I've been behind on movie news, but I'm pretty sure I kinda love that thing.

That's Demolishor. Initially I was hoping he was a revived Bonecrusher. Bonecrusher hates legs.

Then again, he did effectively have roller skates, which was one of my favorite things about him...

Beast-era had a lot of weird entries, but I think my favorite for this discussion has to be Retrax, the pill-bug that needs to hug.

I would have loved it to no end...Retrax is one of those crazy-ass toys that wins by being so very, very, very odd. Like...they decided not to give him arm articulation at all? So you get arms out or arms together? Lunacy, man. Maybe not on the RiD Bruty level, you can tell what Retrax is supposed to be, after all. He'd have been really fun on the show, though, especially since he'd be the one character that could "transform and roll out". How fun would it have been to see him rolling around at high speed, bouncing onto Maximals (and, likely, Tarantulas at least once)?

Of course, I spent all of a dollar on mine, so I'm more inclined to love the lil' bugger.

Which reminds me, I gotta try drawing up that TankCron repainted into Retrax one of these days. Now that the concepts three years old and whatnot.

I have about three Retraxes in storage. He's just that nifty. He does have arm articulation, though, if you separate the pillbug kibble from his hands. Elbows and wrists! Kinda! It's something!

I did digibash a Unicron-Retrax a while back, but it was iffy, so I didn't take it further. Hmm.
