Saw it last night, rather polished piece of work. Nice when a hyped-up movie is actually justified. Joker was grand, but I felt Dent's performance stole the show.

Oh, also. Bonus points for Bruce driving the Lambo that Universe Sideswipe and Sunstreaker are based on.

Well...I done saw some of the toys from the Watchmen movie. Image

The Nite Owl toy looks okay as "random, Owl-themed superhero" but doesn't look a bit like Nite Owl.

Rorsarch, though, looks about right, except for the lack of gas-powered grappling gun. Or any other accessories.

I could've sworn I remember seeing some of those figs ad the NYCC in April. I like 'em, probably wont buy them, but where's the Owl-Gut?

I'm seriously considering going as Rorschach this halloween. Either him or Elric of Melnibone, but that'd mean I need to buy plenty of white body paint.

I wanna be the Joker for Halloween. Well either him or the Great Kamina.

Seems we've got toy pics here:

I'll get Rorschach, at least, he's a given. The others, ehhn, we'll see. Comedian could be a goer. Classic Nite Owl is very twee.

Oh good lord.

Okay, finally saw the preview, and while some of the stuff looked nifty, and I'll probably still see it....I gotta agree with Skywarp here. Not feeling a "Anything that makes Watchmen such a great comic" kinda vibe outta this movie.

Also. "From VISIONARY director Zack Snyder". Srsly, as much as I liked Dawn '04, I don't think it qualifies him as "visionary". And, I don't reckon that 300 makes him a visionary, either. Capable, sure. Makes entertaining movies, yeah, but "visionary"?

Screw it, I'm declaring myself a visionary. Where's my damn chest hologram?

Visionary. Hayzoos Christos.

That song does rock, though. I'll leave aside questions of why a song from the "Batman and Robin" soundtrack fits a movie set in 1985.

Last thing. Does visionary director Zack Snyder really want to piss off Alan Moore? Dude's a damn magician. For serious. I wouldn't want to piss off a magician.

You, sir, are awarded ten points.

I'm 'hoping' this will come across more like Sin City than 300. Didn't like 300 particularly much, watched it twice over two days and emerged feeling more like I'd looked at a series of paintings than seen a movie. That said, this is likely to capture some of the iconic comic scenes very well, even if it does so to the point of overshadowing the storyline.
