Oh, well I was referring to Animated stuff in general, since that seemed to be what were were discussing again.

The comics are not essential, although I'd call the Safeguard pack-in the best of the lot and worth owning. Wish I could find my copy, it seems to have gone walkabout. Which is odd, as it hasn't any legs.

I don't have cable, so I haven't had a chance to watch season three yet. But I cheated a bit and found Transwarped on YouTube last night and watched the first few minutes of it. One of the more enjoyable aspects of the episode is the wide mix of lines that the characters were drawn from. Strika from Beast Machines, Spittor from Beast Wars, Oil Slick from the toyline, Ironhide, Brawn and Rodimus from G1, Blackout from the movie, and Hot Shot from Armada. Oh, and of course Cyclonus from G1 as well. And they were the Charr team. And Shockwave is voiced by the original voice actor! I really enjoyed that.

I appreciate all the homages, while at the same time we're not bogged down in continuity since this is seperate from all the others. It's just a nice nod to the fans, and gives the viewers a battle featuring recognizable characters rather than generic faceless grunts.

Fun stuff.

Just break down and watch all the episodes on YouTube, it's what I do. I usually can't be bothered to wake up on time anyway, so it's more convenient for me that way.

I probably will, but I hate that tiny little window. It's almost worth it to wait until it's available on DVD. Speaking of which, I've gotta go out and pick up season two on DVD. Been meaning to do that for weeks.

There's an option for full screen, y'know. <.<

Mind, I just got used to watching stuff in little windows, and now I don't mind it at all.

Youtube is the only way I've been watching the more recent episodes. I don't have a DVR, and the less I have to rely on my VCR, the better.

I don't watch any TV actively, and have no idea if it's even airing here. Youtube's fine for the eps in fullscreen high quality. Else I could just download better quality encodes if I felt like waiting, heh.

Yeah, but it gets 'fuzzy' in fullscreen mode. And then there's having to load the thing every ten minutes. And I'm sure I could whine about some other things if I wanted, but I'll shut up now.

Pop open the first part in one tab, pause it, then pop open the second part in a second tab. Go pause that.

Also, hit the High Quality button, if it bugs you that much.

Of course the resolution's not going to be as good at full screen--that's because 'television is at a lower resolution that computer screens.' Believe it or not, every single TV show ever looks like that on a computer screen. Even right from DVD rips.
