Um, what? I'm talking about when Bulkhead and Brakedown first fought in Greece. During the day.
Ah. Uh. . . lunch break?
I'm rewatching the episode again right now. I'm going to do a running commentary.
- The blonde girl wearing pink and white in detention with Miko reminds me of Penny from Inspector Gadget!
- Love the shot of the 'con ship cruising through a lightning storm. Ooh! And especially like the shot of Starscream observing the storm through the giant glass window on the bridge as a bolt of lightning flashes right in front of him.
- Starscream- "Our inevitably former leader. . . " Hehe forgot to mention that the first time, but I really like that line.
- The music during Breakdown and Bulkhead's 1st fight really is short but epic. Very cool
- I really like the idea of Transformers mimicking the art styles of a given era to hide messages for other TFs. I mean come on, that's just cool. And I like that they flat out denied having any contact with humans in the past. We've been seeing the same old plot of how TF technology inspired all of human civilization a few too many times now in the DW comics, both Bay movies, etc.
- AH!! AH!! When Ratchet tries to call Agent Fowler! Look under his profile pic! It's his name written in Cybertronian! I think the TF Prime universe has its own TF alphabet just like Beast Wars did! There's 6 letters in Fowler's name and 6 cybertronian letters under his pic. I deciphered some Cybertronian!
- Knockout's license plate reads JOFY 892. Any significance to anyone?
- Not only is it cool when Optimus catches the missle, it's really cool when it cracks the giant window to the museum entrance. Nice.
- They modeled Breakdown's undercarriage in vehicle mode! I noticed some modeling on the undercarriage of the MECH cars last episode too. No one ever bothers with that, so it makes me very happy to see them pay attention to even the smallest details.
- Like how Optimus bats Knockout away when he tries to leap onto his back for the 2nd time. It looked like Optimus was still feeling pretty weak, but managed to find just enough strength to fend off the 'con. Not a graceful move like usual, but more a desperate one.
- I think it's interesting that Soundwave has the most direct contact with the kids. I also like his seemingly disinterest in them, taking the orb but leaving them unharmed. We know he's aware of them since he took their photo in Darkness Rising. Maybe he sees them as being just as useful to the Decepticons as they are to the Autobots. Afterall, they did just deliver the orb to him.
- I noticed that when Knockout and Breakdown took off, only Arcee pursued them. I like her.
- WHOA! That epic dramatic music as Starscream drains the energon from a random Eradicon! I've never seen such emphasis put on the death of a random drone. I'm definitely buying the soundtrack when it comes out.
- I didn't notice it before, but after someone said it, I saw Knockout's tires spinning in bot mode when he was cowering from Starscream.
- Starscream *does* have his weapon out, but retreats after Knockout and Breakdown take off. Which makes me wonder why KO and BD took off anyway. They did a pretty good job handling all the Autobots last time and this time Bulkhead's even out of the fight. 2 against 4 is no problem for them, but 3 against 3 is? Can't even claim that they lost the element of surprise, because the 1st time Knockout just drove right up to Optimus and said hi.
- In the security guard's office there's a poster for Big Rocks National Park. A reference to Big Rock Candy Mountain? Or just a joke that there's a lot of big rocks? Also the calendar is in March, same time as the first airing of this episode. Hehe.
- Aww! Miko gave Fowler the thumbs up. I think even the kids are growing to like him.
- Reggie Bannister played the security guard! He's Reggie from the Phantasm movies. Bald guy with a ponytail. Drives a hemicuda and blasts monsters with a 4-barrel shotgun. Cool.
And that's all I got
