Ancillary, non-main-line stuff. Star Wars TF, Speed Stars, Titanium Series, Robot Heroes, that sort of thing. They're kinda neat, but we all know they're not really that important. Admit it, you know it's true.

Like...Red5 and Atomic Robo?
Except, Atomic Robo's turn at a Lovecraft take-off was really good.
That's because it made fun of the tropes of Lovecraftian stories and portrayed Lovecraft himself as a complete idiot. (I think? Or was that the dude who was with Lovecraft? I should probably read things more than once.)
Whereas Againfestation will...probably not be...
Trufax: I read this as "Afghanistation." Which would be a much more ridiculous, but probably better, comic.
I'm still waiting on the inevitable cross-over between Marvel G1 #80+ and the IDW-Continuity MTMTE/RiD books once those start up. It's gonna happen, don't try to deny it.
ALL COMICS NOW READ LIKE FAN CLUB COMICS!!
Fuck that. I want my comic where IDW Galvy, Bludgeon (hey where the fuck is Bludgeon anyway?!), Dirge, Scourge and Thunderwing disappear and are replaced by Armada Megatron, Thrust, and three other guys. (Prefebly Tidal Wave.)

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.
I agree with every point in Prowl's post, aside from the fact that I am not as big a fan of Red 5 as he is.
2012 might be the year that I drop comics.

So you want fan crap that would actually contradict the original comics it references?
Because the only character shown disappearing from the DW UT timeline was Optimus. The UT characters you mention were shown to be in place for "World's Collide".

-still has to agree w/ Prowl about fan club comics....
Well, if it's gonna be elder god kind of things getting all infesty this go-round, then I guess it sort of makes sense that the steampunky Transformers are gonna get in on it. Still, while I like Guido pretty well, I won't be checking this out unless they convince Ted McKeever to draw this sumbitch like he was supposed to draw Hearts of Steel in the first place. That's seriously one of the things in TF comics that's disappointed me the most.
Dominic wrote: too many people likely would have enjoyed it as....well a house-elf gang-bang.

-avoids Dixon like a pox now.
Or the fact that the coloring in that comic was so bad that it turned me off of Guidi's art for years before I realized it wasn't his fault and that his art was actually pretty good?
Still can't believe I bought the trade of HoS because I thought I was missing something. It's an achievement that they could put Mark Twain and Transformers into a story together and still make me hate it.
