Wow, once again, distribution is killing the line for me. 1 case per store, and 1 of each toy per case...$25 "buy it now or else" toys...bah. Way to make the hobby not at all fun.

'06 was a low point in the hobby for me. As much as I liked the Gigalonians, it was not fun looking for them. Now, I am sweating about "Universe", and line has barely started.

Bah. I already spent my toy money for the week on the "Universe" Prime/Megatron at KB.

Haven't spotted the Universe Ultras yet, nor the Megas. Though I did see Animated Wave 3, and a Super Megs hanging around.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

These aren't store exclusives, so I imagine if the first order sells out, more will become available.

I'm right there with you on the spending cash... I already spent mine for the week too. If the Ultras turn up before next Friday, I'm outta luck.

Apparently, some of the distribution issues - items being shortpacked and such - are not due to strategic marketing but due to manufacturing limitations. Hasbro told me this at Comic-Con, many items trickle out at first because they can't make enough to pump more into the market as fast as consumers would like. That said, i don't think that should be a free pass to screwing collectors over on low-run product.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

I'm wanting to get Acid Storm. You just can not have enough Decepticon jets around.

Indeed. My Classics Air Command is only lacking Skywarp and Acid Storm currently, but I honestly hope they continue to make more figures from the mold (Sunstorm? Please?).

You can always buy Acid Storm in bulk and repaint it into any number of jets.
