Found Ratchet and Hot Shot at Wal-Mart, paid full price, but c'mon. The guys at my Wal-Mart are Goddamn vultures, and these were the only two there. They restock Thursday night, which means they already picked over most of these today. Glad I found them both.

So it looks like, with the exception of Inferno, Bruticus and Darkwing (who all look like they're Never going to hit here), I'm finished with the line.

Darkwing is on toysrus.com now, along with Countdown. Hopefully they'll still be there when I have money *grumbles*.
I disappear.

I'm not worried. I don't even really want Darkwing that much.

And I forgot Countdown existed. Damnit...

God dammit.

So all this talk of Activators was making me regret that I never got Bulkhead. He's my favorite core Autobot on the show, but I'd passed over his Activator (a first-wave figure) since at the time I really only wanted Bumblebee for the Scale Thing; I didn't know how much I dug the Activators concept. So what do I see at Wal-Mart tonight, but a languishing Activators Bulkhead! So I grabbed him, along with that Thundercracker I'd been meaning to pick up. Bulkhead lacks knees and paint on his fingers, but otherwise works suprisingly well. His vehicle mode is *adorable*. And I really like how his Activation is pretty much full. You just have to move the toes, and the gearing does ALL the rest. It's great. If his shoulders actually pegged in somehow in robot mode, instead of wobbling around unsurely, he'd be pretty much perfect. If he had knees, of course.

Thundercracker is what he is, a nice redeco of Starscream. He still looks just a little too purple for me, but whatever. Still very pretty.

I can't believe I bought even more Activators.

Sorry I haven't been around for a while, been super busy with taking care of my grandmother, and my car's transmission. Not sure what other stuff I've picked up, but almost no TFs in the last month and a half, until...

Animated purple Shockwave & activators Bumblebee - my first activator. I was expecting a little more automorph really, and the arms are kinda wonky. If it were $5, I'd say it's cool (and that is technically what I paid for it), but for $8+, lame! I can't get past the big hinges that make the door arms pop out easily in alt mode, leave it structurally dubious. Still, makes a great scale contrast against Shockwave. Shockwave is pretty nifty, the purple doesn't really pull off "Autobot" in spy modes, but it's still fun to transform to all 4 modes. There are some odd places in the instructions which miss stuff, and the head in alt mode is a total confusion (there are notches suggesting the Shockwave face is close to the ground with the top of the head facing straight forward). All in all, a decent $25 set.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Boo-Yah! DVD's page said that the Target-exclusive Voyager repaint packs were getting marked down to FIVE DOLLARS starting today, so I jetted down there and snapped myself up a True Colors Shockwave. He's still in the box, but this was one of my favorite molds of all of last year, it's in pretty G1 Shockwave colors, and c'mon, it was FIVE FREAKING DOLLARS!! If I hadn't wanted Sunstorm bad enough at the time, I'd be sorry I paid full price for that one, but as it is, it's still okay. FIVE DOLLAR Shockwave easily makes up for it by himself. Now I just need to figure out what I'm gonna do with the spare Bumblebee; I wonder how hard it would be to turn it into Wasp?

And again, just in case you skimmed this post and missed it:

TARGET HAS THE EXCLUSIVE VOYAGER REPAINTS FOR FIVE DOLLARS THIS WEEK!!!!

Totally hittinig Target on the way home.

And, from this weekend:

From the convention:
-some cheap compilations: TF Rage in Heaven, TF Escalation, and Sentinel Squadron 1

-really cheap Cobra Extreme Conditions pack: $10 for the Desert set. Yes, $10.

Finally, customizing yielded a TFU Starscream figure in G2 colors. (Pics will be posted in the not too distant future.)

There were two Shockwaves left at the local Target I went to, so I picked up one of them. For $5, it was well worth it. Still not interested in Sunstorm, for any price really. Ugly mold that just doesn't appeal to me.

A number of other Transformers were on sale as well. Ultras, Voyagers and Animated Deluxes were all on sale, though Activators and Universe Deluxes were not. I guess Target is trying to clear out stock to make room for upcoming movie merchandise.

My Target had some Universe Deluxes slightly on sale, but I don't want to pay money for Dinobot or Cheetor at this point. Still no sign of Cosmos or Hotshot. Why does Texas get such awful distribution?
