Hot Wheels Star Wars Character Car - BB8 - an oddity, it's not a bad design exactly, they get the smaller size and adapt the few shapes shown on the character while sticking with the preexisting Astromech-car layout, giving a futuristic hybrid speeder sort of thing - but the roundness doesn't quite translate just because it has smooth lines here and there.

Amazon had a Devastator sale; $109. I had $100 in gift cards from last Christmas that Randi and I never spent. I spent it. I bought Devastator for $15 after taxes.

He's pretty great. I either completely lost or never had a small piece (Scavenger's cockpit piece) which is a little frustrating but it's not an essential piece anyway so. I do have some minor complaints but they are what they are; I got one of the biggest TFs for under $20 out of pocket. What can I really complain about?

I also bought Dirgegun and he came in a few days ago. What a neat remould of a toy I never owned in the first place! I got him for $30 loose which is pretty swell.

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Got Leader Starscream and Jetfire. I got my feet wet with this mold with Thundercracker and... I kind of like it. I think I like Jetfire the best of the three, he has the face mask which allows you to display either a Jetfire g1 toy look or a Skyfire look. And I'm also a sucker for chrome. That chrome red is just so shiny. I do kind of wish the boosters were included with the seekers but I understand why they weren't. But, the part they plug into looks kind of bare and incomplete without it. The worst complaint I always see about this mold is the hollow wings and yeah, that is a thing, but in seeing where they designed everything to lock together I understand why they did it.

Ordered a folding cane off Amazon, it'll be here tomorrow. My arthritis isn't going away, even going back on the meds to minimize it, I'm not getting any younger and these 12-hour Disneyland trips are hell on my legs, plus Disneyland wants to see a cane to "prove" I can't always wait in a 90 minute line for a 3 minute ride. But avoiding a week of pain where I can't work out is unacceptable, I need to get over my ego and accept that for long walks I may actually need this.

Amazon is excellent about returns, make sure you get a whole set, that's unacceptable. If they're no help, call Hasbro at 800-FART-BOG (their actual customer service number), but I cannot imagine Amazon would let you down.

Well, you just saved me the trouble of getting TC or SS, I was starting to be on the fence about getting them.

Two nice hauls this week: a new sofa (long overdue, the old one was literally worn out in places) and the Batman Golden Age Omnibus vol. 1. Details in the Retro Comics thread.

I probably should get a replacement, but I'm worried that there'll be some shitty complications or whatever. It's a tiny piece, I'm not that worried about it now that I've had a few days.

Last thing from my big group of bought shit came in yesterday: BWNeo Survive, a repaint of Polar Claw. Polar Claw is one of my favourite BW moulds, and I always wanted the Neo repaint because of that. Picked him up for like $30 shipped from...Hawaii?? Whatever, man.

Noting correction of Hasbro customer service number, I had "FART-BAY" but it's actually "FART-BOG".
