Nice! Reminds me of when I was renovating my place.

I just got 30th Trailcutter,Hoist,IDW Megatron & BH Twinstrike in the mail today. I only wanted trailcutter & hoist but to qualify for free shipping,I had to also order IDW Megatron & Twinstrike.

Oddly enough IDW Megatron looks like the best of this lot. the toy really has some beautiful high sculpt going on in both modes. This toy looks like it was aimed at much older kids like teenagers/adults. I THINK THE SADDEST thing about this toy is that it should have been a voyager or 8 inch Ultra sized toy. I really hate it when the awesome sculpted molds with a leader command rank toys gets the small sizes while the awful sculpted toys with the low command ranks get the big voyager, ultra or leader toy sizes.

I honestly don't need BH Twinstrike as I already bought one months ago. So since Christmas is around the corner,This will go into one of my younger nephews Christmas stockings

Sadly 30th Trailcutter & hoist don't look that great compared to other Classics,Generations,RTS deluxe sized toys. Hoist I think looks the worst of the Two using the same mold,As the designers didn't do a great job on the resculpt. Hoist's alt mode literally looks like a convertible version of trailcutter but done in a awful way. Clearly thus far the best Hoist mold is the movie-verse store exclusive one that came packaged in a verse gift set. http://tfwiki.net/mediawiki/images2/7/7 ... _Hoist.jpg

Today's comics: Regeneration One #0 (with Geoff Senior art for a few pages, woo!), Batman 66 #3, Superior Spider Man #18 and Daredevil #31.

I skipped the 3d cover Black Hand #1. Not a fan of the necrophile angle for Black Hand, and I don't need a whole issue devoted to the character. Someone else who is dying (ha ha, geddit?) for a 3d cover will be able to get it now.

Splurged a bit on some Doctor Who DVDs today. Got The Ice Warriors, a Patrick Troughton story, and two Jon Pertwee stories: The Ambassadors of Death and The Mind of Evil. All of them will replace either a double VHS version in my video cabinet, or the oversized amray case for the Ice Warriors, freeing up some space (which always makes my wife happy!). All three of these have something to offer other than just better format, restoration and picture quality over the VHS version. The Ice Warriors is missing episodes 2 and 3, but they've been animated for this release, and both Pertwee stories have been recolorized.

Star Wars 6" R2-D2 - mixed bag as it's too small in scale, has gimmicks that are too limiting, the third leg gimmick is infuriating, and there are a few other issues. I'd give a mixed review but mine has a serious assembly defect so back to the store it goes.

Star Wars Padme Geonosian Arena - pretty good likeness and scale, hands could have been better and right elbow shot in white sucks.

Star Wars Anakin Ep 2 - ok figure, not outstanding in any way.

Star Wars Red 3 X-wing Fighter - good thing I had a 25% off coupon with how much TRU wants for it, $60 is bonkers. The fuselage is nearly all different and better, all pre-painted and stickers applied.

Pur mineralizing water filter - on clearance at Target, easy to assemble but we'll see how it works in the long run.

Muse, Black Holes & Revelations - I've been hung up on 2 of this album's singles since they first dropped, figured what the hell.

Van Halen 1 - it was on sale, I had been thinking about it.

Batman '66 issue 3 - haven't read it yet, was shocked to see it out already and sitting in my pull list.

$500 in car repairs - awesome. :?

I had a reasonably productive few days, and decided to reward myself. It helped that I happened to find Wave 3 TF blind-bag Kreons and that all of the figures I wanted were sequentially numbered 51-5.

-51 Thrust: Along with Ramjet and Sunstorm, this means that I have all three of the Seekers who have died in the current IDW series. (I am not even going to try to get a core group of the original six. Thundercracker and Starscream cost more than I am willing to pay for a Kreon.)

-52 Nemesis Prime: Looks to be a straight recolour of the first series Optimus Prime. This marks the second time that a blind bag Kreon has been made of a character that is traditionally a straight recolour of another (Sunstorm and Acid Storm sharing the seeker mould with Starscream and co). And, by extension, it means that there are now semi-official instructions for making a transforming Kreon out of a wave one Optimus Prime (assuming that one can find the required extra pieces in the right colours).

-53 Ramjet: I really like what IDW did with this character.

-54 Huffer: A character I have always had a soft-spot for. Theoretically provides instructions to make PCC Crankcase or UT/Bayverse Armorhide.

-55 Kickback: Two Insecticons down, one to go.

Dom
-still wants Dirge, but not willing to go on an eBay hunt....

Customizing yielded Generations style Barricade. It was actually repainted from a Prowl that Dom gave me a year ago which I'd had disassembled for molding. The reassembly process didn't go well so I will not be transforming this. Or if I do, it will not be often. I also had to make several custom stickers for it, almost equivalent to one of the old G1 sticker sheets. Pics are in the new customs thread.

Sky Shadow. Found one at Target and my CHUG Decepticons are horribly outnumbered.

Wait, isn't Sky Shadow the Thunderwing repaint? Dang, surprised they still have any of those kicking around at a Target.
