As I mentioned I might provide, EXAMPLES!

Just using PR Samurai/Shinkenger as an example, here is a full gallery for DX Shinken-Oh. A big, electronic, combining brick. Compared to that you have Minipla Shinken-Oh, a cheap lil' set of figures that can combine and as you can see, end up rather posable and dynamic, but get most detail from stickers, and Super Robot Chogokin Shinken-Oh, a single figure that doesn't separate/combine, but is highly detailed, incredibly posable, and includes die-cast parts.

I've always badly wished Bandai would bring the minipla over here. They can't be too expensive to release, and I'd gladly pay $10-20 for each set of them.

While searching for KREO TF toys at stores,I did notice Mega bloks has some big poseable build it Power Rangers zords,So this is another option for some. Sadly "for me" I dis-like the look of the Kreo/mega bloks/lego type build it toys.

There's also the fact that to separate those Megazords into their individual components, you have to break the whole building-block toy down into pieces and rebuild it. Hardly intuitive.

Oh yeah, TigerMiger, since I know you like transformin' kitty-cat bots, you might be interested in the Go-Buster Ace and Tategami Rai-Oh, both from last year's Super Sentai series, Go-Busters. Both have vehicle, animal, and robot modes, and can combine with other mecha from the series (and Ace can ride Rai-Oh in trike and lion modes). Ace also has a 'Headmaster' type component for his cheetah head that attaches in all modes.
