Yeah. I got Zab pretty good with that one.
No, I mean :o because Kreons cannot possibly be worth that much, they're tiny and hollow and physically generic things, and yet you did get your money's worth based on current ebay prices! How are these fucking things worth $10+ a piece?!?

BAD ASS!!! Love that poster.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

The prices on Kreons vary. Kreons of '84-6 characters tend to appreciate more than others. In other cases, as with Ironhide and Red Alert, if the Kreons are only available with a larger set, they fetch higher prices because the only other likely way to get them is to buy the larger set. (I paid $20 for Optimus Prime on discount, to get the Kreons. And, now I have to mail off the bricks to Scourge just to get rid of them.)

The only way to get Ironhide would be with a $100 Devastator set. I am not going to buy that, let alone put it together.

In other news:

-Transformers "Generations" Rewind/Sundor: No buzz here. I will post a review in the "Generations" forums shortly.

Job get! I'll be working at my local Subway starting next week. It's minimum wage and barely any hours, but fuck it--job's a job at this point.

Which is good because I used some of the sales from my music to buy the GI Joe Retaliation 3-Pack Firefly (that's a mouthful) along with the Ray Stevenson head from the regular Firefly. I would have just bought the regular Firefly and left it at that, but the 3-pack Firefly is basically a "30th Anniversary" Firefly and a way, way better toy than his original 25th incarnation, and the regular Firefly is extremely movie inaccurate--he's actually based on early concept art that recently got put out, and not at all on the movie version, which sucks because in the movie, he had this bitchin' jacket. There's an "Ultimate" Firefly coming out in Wave 3, but he's mostly a Stormshadow repaint and his jacket looks nothing like the one in the movie, so this is a way better substitute.

I mean, look at how cool this looks!

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

Congrats on getting a job! Even if it is minimum wage, still better than nothing.

3x Star Wars Vintage Collection Imperial Navy Commanders - and after I had given up on finding this guy for months, there he is, 1 at WM and then 2 at TRU. Army built!

Disneyland Star Tours Droid Factory build-your-own droid 2-pack - they finally added this to California's Star Tours shop, so I went down there and got a pair, R7 and R8 designs.

Congrats on the job! And yeah, that is pretty cool there. If I had been collecting this line, that's what I would have wanted to do too.

The parents and I went shopping to the BX at our local AFB. We were actually there looking for voyager Shockwave but instead found FOC Starscream (they're still going to look for Shockwave). I'm actually pretty happy with the way this turned out. My only concern from pics was if the gun would separate and could be placed on the arms which they can so I'm good. And they look way better that way than being held as a single weapon (even if that is game accurate). I've liked the WFC/FoC Seeker design since WFC and glad to see it finally in toy form. I even like the paint apps on it. I do see what JT was talking about with the head visible in vehicle mode, but the head is square enough that if you turn it around it's not terribly offensive. Still, there should be something covering it anyway.

You bought those at Rite-Aid? Could *not* have been cheap...

Anyway, I picked up Django Unchained on Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Copy/UltraViolet/UMD/Laserdisc/Betamax/VHS/GBA Video/ViewMaster combo pack the other day. Not seeing this movie in theaters was my biggest regret of the previous year, so buying the damn thing when it came out was the least I could do to make up for it. I'm gonna watch it tonight.

And some friends and I went to see the re-release of Jurassic Park in theaters last night. Been way too long since I saw that movie, it's an awesome film. The bit with Tim on the electric fence is still one of the least comfortable things I've had to watch, but the rest of the movie is just awesome. I'm honestly shocked at how well the effects have aged (mostly because Spielberg and the others involved with the movie understood that CGI at the time had proper places where it could work, and weren't shy about using practical effects in other places). The added 3D presentation didn't even really detract from the movie or anything!
