Takara only really helps with the toys and the media that's developed on their side of the pond. If Hasbro says, "Michael Bay is making a fourth movie," Takara just goes, "Well, I guess we have to make the toys, then."
If a disney buy out of Hasbro were to happen.

Technically Hasbro doesn't own the Transformers, they liscense it from Tomy-Takara. So if Disney bought out Hasbro,Takara could refuse to make TF toys for disney.

Similar to the 1990's,When Hasbro bought out kenner. Hasbro didn't own any of the early 1980's Gobots toys molds. Hasbro just owned the patent rights to the gobots brand name & the patent rights to all the gobots characters names. Hasbro didn't even own any of the master molds for the early 1980's gobots toys, since Bandai owned them & liscensed them to kenner for a limited contract time frame.

What Disney can do is contact another toy manufactor & have them make brand new Transformers toy mold. if they bought out Hasbro & Tomy-Takara refuses to make TF toys for them. Disney owns the patents rights to the Transformers brand name & patents to the TF characters. Disney can create newer cartoons/movies/comics featuring the Transformers character names & brand patents they bought, but the Transformers toys would need to be all brand new molds that disney helped create.

Disney if they bought out Hasbro would not be allowed to re-issue or re-release any older transformers toys that hasbro helped create.

As far as older Transformers media like the comics, cartoons & movies, these will always be known as Hasbro creations. because they will always have the hasbro words on the products. disney might be able to buy some of the media rights to re-release stuff but it would be too costly & after hasbro takes their fees, their wouldn't be enough profit for disney to justify the production cost, time+effort.
Disney by law would not be allowed to edit the Hasbro brand name out ofg the media products & enter the Disney name in hasbro's place.

No, they don't. They license the toys, and production thereof, from them. The reason the boxes say "Produced under license by Tomy" is because Tomy (Takara) worked on the toys and therefore partially own the actual toy moulds. Hasbro still owns all the intellectual property bullshit. Hasbro owns the character of Optimus Prime. They invented that shit. That was all Marvel and Budiansky. Takara didn't do anything but decide that Optimus Prime sounded dumb and called him Convoy.

What I really want is for Disney to buy Warner Brothers.

Warner Brothers made "Deliverance". It would be really great if Disney incorporate "Deliverance" in to one of their theme part rides.

-just imagine the animatronics.

You say that as if WB doesn't already have its own multiple theme parks it can do stuff with. Ever been to a Six Flags?

(I need to go on the old Batman rides. The style of those wait lines were awesome.)

I've never been to Magic Mountain. As someone who loves roller coasters, this saddens me greatly.

Y'know, given Star Wars and Marvel, it'd be interesting if Disney didn't start licensing through Hasbro more to produce toys based on its properties.

Hasbro seriously needs to have star wars kreo building sets. the whole idea of letting lego reap in the profits is just stupid. Having Stars wars Kreo sets would draw major attention/profits/sales to all the Kreo Sets like the TF Kreos,Star trek kreo sets,G.I Joe kreo sets & Battle ship kreo sets.

...except they can't, because Star Wars licenses out the rights to any versions of their universe in building brick form to Lego.

This is basically saying that Disney needs to hurry up and make a Spiderman movie, because Sony is reaping all the profits for Spiderman movies! Like, no shit, that's because Sony paid Marvel fucktons of money to reap those profits--and is paying Marvel a portion of those profits.
