I'm kinda middle of the road. I would not be willing to spend $15 on any of the FoC figures. Having done so for three of them and finding them not worth it, I would not do so again. However, I would pay that much for some of the asian exclusives that came out recently. Dom has a point about comparing this to exclusive figures. In the end the cost to produce it is the same yet, in some cases, we so readily pay way more than retail.
Yes, I have actually owned a Fort Max. In fact, I've completely disassembled and restored one. One thing to consider with the current price is comparing that same quality to what is currently available (ie: A sealed one either from the 80's or RID) and at that comparison, 350.00 is a steal. Plus, you essentially get four figures from it. Fort Max, Cerebros, Spike, and the combined Cog/Grommet thing. Plus, you also get an Autobot playset that's actually big enough to house vehicle mode G1 Prime. With trailer.

Almost word for word what I thought when I heard this.Onslaught Six wrote:I'm not paying $20 for Deluxes. I guess this means I'm out.
Considering that it's been a tumbling quality for a few years now, so coupling that with what is essentially a 90% price increase in the same time is unsustainable.Dom wrote:The $20 price tag alone is not enough to push me out. But, a $20 price tag on top of lazier designs and ever decreasing quality control is.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

My local Target has raised the TFP deluxes to $18.29, while the Generations deluxes are now $15.49. That's crazy town pricing right there, especially with the brand struggling to break out of a slump. Yet Voyagers are still $19.99 or $21.99 depending on which Target you visit, so expect that to go up as well so it doesn't cannibalize deluxes.
