I got a $50 visa card at work so I went to Wal Mart. It's the first time I've set foot in a WM in at least two years and I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon. So I went looking for the FOC figures (Shockwave in particular) and found all three of them. And got all three of them. And damned if that didn't come out to 50.01 after taxes. For three deluxes!! Jesus Christ on a cream filled cracker that's expensive!! Anyway, I've only had time to open and fiddle with Shockwave and so far I'm loving him. Not sure I'm 15.75 + tax loving him, but yeah. Will comment on Jazz and Prime later.

*cough cough* (climbs out of the dusty coffin)

Yea, so I've been gone for a bit and buried under that horrible, horrible thing called "work". I've been alternating between being too busy to socialise (whether in person or online) and being too damn brain-tired and zombiefied to socialise.

So, that left retail therapy for the preservation of sanity the last few months. And retail therapy on a brain that can't think clear enough to be prudent and do simple mathematics and budget management leads to....

- TakaraTomy's TFP Breakdown
- Kabaya Candy Toys' 3 pack (the one with Hot Spot & Death Sauras, whose left leg broke in mid-assembly c'oz the fit was too tight. Aargh)
- Kabaya Candy Toys' 6 pack protectobots
- Kabaya Candy Toys' Fort Max 3 pack
- FOC Prime
- FOC Jazz
- FOC Shockwave
- Hasbro's Asia exclusive Springer (Tomahawk remold)
- Hasbro's Asia exclusive Swerve (Kup remold)
- A second-hand copy of FFXIII-2 for PS3
- A second-hand copy of White Knight Chronicles 2 for PS3
- A copy of Dragon's Dogma for PS3 ... yes, yes, 3 RPGs, I know... and no, I haven't actually played through any of them yet
- A bunch of sleeves and booster packs for Cardfight Vanguard in preparation for the regional tourneys coming up
- PEDX-01 RC
- PEDX-01B RC
- Candy toy versions of all 5 Go-buster vehicles

And, finally, after being lost in the FedEx warehouse for a week before getting delivered ...

BC-04 Beet Buster
SJ-05 Stag Beetle

I also pre-ordered BBTS's exclusive G2 coloured Bruticus and a copy of Guild Wars 2.
Am also hoping to score the SDCC FOC Bruticus somehow, but that doesn't seem likely anytime soon.

Spending a lot of braindead rest hours on WKC2, Dragon's Dogma and the deluxe Go-buster toys nowadays.

Quick reveiw for BWProwl - I like the individual Buster machines well enough, but the 5-way combination is kinda disappointing. Design-wise, I'm disapponted in how lazily the 2 new vehicles just add shoes, repalcement arms and basically relegate the entire rabbit/chopper into an assembled piece of back kibble. Also, the connection pegs on the pieces are tiny compared to the size and overall weight of the toy and dont' always hold well. Pieces tend to fall off when handling this Clusterfuck Leper-zord.

Those same 3 deluxes cost SGD 28.90 a pop here, so.....

But, yea. Darn broke now.

I forgot to post this yesterday:

Kre-O Barricade and Auto-Troopers.

A face full of doggy kisses (including from several pitbulls) at a local street fair.

So I was at a meeting for one of the Masonic organizations that I belong to on Friday and a lady gave me a bag of stuff. 3 Star Wars books, a vintage, small die cast Y-Wing and two ninja swords. It's a matching set of one larger one and one smaller one. They need some cleaning and some sharpening, but otherwise are in good shape.

Restorations yielded G1 Mirage. No weapons but he's in good shape and transforms perfectly. The other one for parts is perpetually stuck in vehicle mode and has several missing and broken parts.

Also, digging through the customizing box yielded 4 copies of Generations Red Alert. I'll keep one as is and probably customize the rest.

Jesus! How'd you end up with that many Red Alerts?

(I'd pay good money for a decent custom of Clampdown...)

People spend so much time worrying about whether a figure is "mint" or not that they never stop to consider other flavours.

I bought them for customizing into Breakdown and it... just never happened. The disassembled one will eventually become Breakdown and I might customize Clampdown and Deep Cover and Sideswipe (because I can't just buy Sideswipe)... I dunno, that'll be a long way off though.
