First Ultra... White Optimus and now this. Why is Takara doing this to us? Did we really need this? I mean is Black Optimus Prime really that popular of a character? And on top of that I'm betting he won't come with a trailer meaning he'll be $150.00 worth of pure suck. Can someone please tell me when Optimus Prime turned into Barbie?

I dunno, I think it looks pretty nice. I mean, if I ever get a version of this mold it'll be in Optimus colors, but this version isn't exactly the worst thing ever. Now if they do the mold up as Shattered Glass Prime, then I might get upset.

The thing you gotta remember Trekkie, is that the original toy was likely fabulously expensive to produce. So they need to recoup a lot of that cost via repaints. Hence, Masterpiece Ultra Magnus, and now Masterpiece Nemesis Prime. This was, to a lesser extent, the reason for getting all three Masterpiece Seekers, and I'll be surprised if we don't see a Masterpiece Black Megatron eventually.

I'm holding out for a Masterpiece G2 Grimlock myself, but I admit that that's a long way off.

But anyway, I hardly see a reason to get *that* upset over this. It's not like they're forcing you to buy it, right? Just spend the $150 on toys that you actually want, and forget that this ever happened. Easy.

What Prowl said. I'm not in love enough with the "Nemesis Prime" concept to want this thing, myself, but for people that are, they're friggin' thrilled right now and more power to 'em.

For my part, I'd be sorta tempted if this ever showed up in Toxitron colors, but I'm not real worried about that going down.

It's on BBTS front page up at the top so I'm assuming it's news. I don't recall a MP NemePrime being released before. I dunno, I'm just sick of the concept. I understand what Prowl said and it makes sense. I'm really not that upset by it, just annoyed.

Judging by the horror stories I've heard about MP Megatron (which are the main reason I don't own one) this guy just might be a better leader for your large-scale Decepticons.

Course, you'll have to ignore the giant red Autobot symbol on his shoulder...

Yeah, that's the other thing. I'm already sick of black repaints of Prime, but I've gotten used to them being Decepticons. Inventing a new character in Autobot flavour might send me right over the edge.
