2014 Fall TF cartoon series interview & details in thread.

The originals... ok, not exactly, but the original named "The TransFormers" anyway. Take THAT, Diaclone!
Generation 1, Generation 2 - Removable fists? Check. Unlicensed vehicle modes? Check. Kickass tape deck robot with transforming cassette minions? DOUBLE CHECK!!!

Stephen Davies Alludes to New Series Aimed at Younger Viewers

I suspose thr million dollar question is,What age group are they aiming for? Rescue bots? Animated? AEC? BW?

I saw nothing wrong with TFP/BH. I thought the age group was set right. The series got so many nominations & won so many awards. The toys were great as they merged the Movie vervse & 2009 Animated toy designs into a fusion of sorts.

I'd prefer the newer 2014 Fall TF cartoon series please not be in CGI. I want it to be in 2-D like AEC & Rid did. Doing CGI series for TF cartoon is

I would like to see a combiners or animal-bots newer TF cartoon series. Maybe even a united Transformers robots VS space organic creatures series. Maybe even a Transmetal 1 type cartoon+toy line,Where all the Transformers are tripple changers that can change from robot to vehicle to aminal modes. the bigger the toys, the better the other modes look.

It would have been nice to get a sequel to BH. Maybe the BH alternate universe version of Beast Wars. Since they had the Predacons origins established already in this universe. I figured the newer series would delve into the maximals origins. With the maximals & Predacons taking center stage in this series. perhaps hundreds of years could have erven passed since the 90 minute BH movie ended. The Predacons could have easily evolved & adapted newer beast modes like jungle animals like the 1986 Predacons had.

As long as Hasbro doesn't do a Construct-bots or Kreo/Kreon TF cartoon series,I will probably watch it & like it.

I had no problem with the 1980's TF cartoon series,So if it's something similar to this, then sign me up,i'll enjoy it.

Most of the time,I'm just in it for the newer TF toys. as long as the newer TF toys are designed the way I like them to be. I could care less how great or awful the newer TF cartoon series is.

I just think it doing CGI TF cartoon series limits the number of characters in a season/series. I'd prefer a much larger cast like AEC & G-1 had. I'd like to see the newer 2014 TF cartoon series use the 2-D That AEC & Rid used.

Most of those awards for Prime were for the visuals though. And both Energon and Cybertron actually used CGI for the robots. I think CGI works well for Transformers series personally, Prime certainly having the best quality of CGI thus far. I just hope the writing is better because that's really been one of Transformers weakest points with the cartoons (and movies). Not sure why they seem to think they need to aim for a younger audience with the next series either. I think they've been pretty good with reaching a wide range of audiences with the cartoons as they've been.

While prime did win awards, do those a awards translate into toys sold? I've been seeing RiD prime figs shelf warming 2, 3 years after release. Personally, I've always liked gimmicky toys, especially if there's some way to tie their play into the tv show (like The Batman toys having sensors that could interact with the tv), the fact is that kids arguing less toys with the exception of stuff like Skylanders... I'd be cautiously optimistic about a TF show like that.
