Hasbro isn't even at NYCC dawg. They don't have a booth and there's nothing about them on the schedule.

Dude I was at NYCC. Hasbro didn't have a presence. Hasbro threw a behind closed doors party in NYC at the same time as the convention (because all the press was in the city at the time) but they weren't at the convention in any capacity.

The NYCC 2013 was from October 10 thru the 13. According to the top 4 TF fans sites. Hasbro was at NYCC 2013 on a pre-early day on October 9,that is reserved only for the press.

Various TF fans news sites were allowed into the October 9,2013 NYCC press day. those allowed in saw the TF4 Leader optimus toy in person.

Buddy, I was literally there for all four days. Hasbro did not have an official presence. Hasbro threw a closed doors party that was not at the convention itself, where they showed the optimus prime toy. They were never at the convention itself in any official capacity and never promised to answer anyone's questions.

As much as I hate to say this AU, he does have a point, between that link to tformers and a few posts I've seen over on TFW, they all say "from NYCC". There's even one over on TFW that shows new Star Wars, D&D and new stuff from other toy lines. Is it possible that maybe this event was part of NYCC while not necessarily being "on site"?

But basically, Hasbro capitalized on a lot of geek media outlets being in New York at the time and held a press event in a hotel near the convention center, without actually being at the convention itself. If you look at the list of exhibitors at NYCC hasbro is nowhere to be found.

It doesn't matter where the October 9 NYCC 2013 Press event took place,because it was still labeled the NYCC 2013 convention Press event. Other companies besides Hasbro took part in the press event. NYCC 2013 & The Media coverage on TV,News papers & on-line all reported this coverage as part of the NYCC 2013 convention.

Just because the regular attendees were not invited to the press event does not mean it was not part of the NYCC 2013 convention.

The Press event was done so the companies could have some quiet time with the news media.
