Galvatron appears on Doctor Who
Last night's The Crimson Horror aired, and at the end Clara, the current companion, returns to her day job of being a nanny in 2013, she waltzes into the family's kitchen and walks over to a G1 Galvatron in robot mode, plays with him a moment, bows him and says something about being the boss, then walks over to the computer. I think the idea was to use a larger toy that the kids just left laying around for her to interact with, but somehow they came up with a 28-year-old G1 figure (it was the original coloring). It was quite a surprise. I can probably get a middling video or screen photo if you guys want, I kept the episode on DVR for that purpose, but it'll be shot with the phone or tablet.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

That's always a nice surprise when something like that happens. Makes me wonder if a staff member who's a Transformers fan brought it in or something, since it's not likely they just walked into a store and bought it. Maybe it's a leftover prop in the BBC toy prop department.JediTricks wrote:Last night's The Crimson Horror aired, and at the end Clara, the current companion, returns to her day job of being a nanny in 2013, she waltzes into the family's kitchen and walks over to a G1 Galvatron in robot mode, plays with him a moment, bows him and says something about being the boss, then walks over to the computer. The latter was my guess. It looked super clean though, but I didn't see any stickers so that'd make it easy to keep clean. The funny thing is that it's not really detailed enough to stand out on TV, I'll bet they chose it based on its large size.andersonh1 wrote:That's always a nice surprise when something like that happens.
