Speculation on what the 2nd Spongbob movie will be about that will arrive in Theathres in late 2014.

I speculate the plot/story/arc of the 2nd movie has to be something major to top the 1st movies plot/story/arc. It also has to be something not overly done in the cartoon series. Lastly it has to be something worthwile to make kids/parents pay the theathre ticket prices,because the cartoon is free on cable/satelite/dish/whatever...

Here's my Speculation list below of what I Anticipate will be in the 2nd Spongebob movie plots/arcs/stories.
1- At some point in the 2nd movie,Spongebob passes his Driving road test & gets his liscense. No,I don't think this will be the major 2nd movie plot. more like a mild movie plot.
2- This Second movie will have to introduce a newer main core character or Two,to give the cartoon series a reason to create newer episodes. Because at this point viewers are sick & tired of the same core cast of characters in the cartoon series.
3- I speculate the MAIN PLOT/ARC/STORY,will be centered around a "CAPTAIN PLANET THEME". Where it's shown that humans on the land are polluting the oceans & causing un-pleasant stuff down below in bikini bottom. perhaps they'll show extreme garbage everywhere in bikini bottom thanks to the humans polluting above & throwing stuff in the water. they should should smells,gases & poisons making it impossible for the residents of Bikini bottom to live under sea. Maybe Spongebob & his friends will make a trip to above the seas to find david hasselhoff or william shatner & try to convince the people of the earth to stop polluting the seas because their killing or making under seas creatures sick or die.
4- I anticpate the Flying dutchman,patchy the pirate,Mermaid man & Barnacle boy will be in the 2nd theathre movie. as they are all fan favorites. They'll probably all get cameos & not major roles.

I DON'T EXPECT THIS 2ND MOVIE TO BE ABOUT SPONGEBOB GETTING HIS FIRST GIRL FRIEND NOR GETTING MARRIED & HAVING A FAMILY. As the cartoon series main audience is aimed at extremely young kids. Who wouldn't want nor be interested in this plot for a 2nd movie. nor would they want this plot to carry over into the newer Spongebob cartoon series episodes.

All this thread did was remind me that Spongebob is still being made and, at this point, is Nickelodeon's longest running franchise ever.

And then I look at stuff like Rugrats or Doug or Angry Beavers that could have ran forever, and weep.
