What, really?
I had some money so I bought some stuff.
-DOTM Cyberverse Shockwave with Fusion Tank. Screw what 86 said, this thing is great. (Okay, the tank sucks, but Shockwave is cool.)
-Cyberverse Ultra Magnus, who is awesome once you tighten his shoulders up a bit. This guy shows how far Cyberverse has come. Still not quite worth $10...but getting there.
-Cyberverse Skyquake. Less good than Magnus, but I don't regret it, because Skyquake.

Re: September Hauls
Hauls, anti-hauls and hauls: My monthly figures from Mattel came in this weekend, Mekanek, Dragon Blaster Skeletor, and the Snake Men two pack. Was also given a bag full of old Star Wars toys from a lady at my Eastern Star chapter on Friday. It was all old dirty, some were broken and all of it was stuff that I really had no interest in keeping. Went to a toy show on Sunday. The organizer had actually given me a free table at this event for Masonic information (since the event was held in a Masonic buidling). In addition to that, he also allowed me to bring in and sell the left over bits of my collection. So I sold the afformentioned SW haul as well as the bulk of the Star Trek figures I didn't want. I had $60. On my break (I had another guy with me at my table) I walked the convention floor and bought the He-Man Power Sword letter opener for $30 and found Henkei Red Alert for $16. And could not pass it up.

Re: September Hauls
I bought the first half-season of "Young Justice" on DVD after seeing the series advertised on the Batman DVDs. Pretty good show, and essentially just taking the Teen Titans concept and running with it. All the kid sidekicks get their own covert team, with the regular Justice League characters generally getting cameos, apart from Batman who gets a larger role in the show. I'm liking it quite a bit so far.
Re: September Hauls
-"Prime" Wheeljack: I have been good the last few months, and recently picked up a second job. And, last night, my class was cancelled, so I had time to hit the TrU express that is near my 'hood. And, finally, Wheeljack is the first fan's choice Hall of Famer that I wholly approve of. Review coming soon.
-some Lego minifigures: I noticed that wave 7 of the blind buys includes one that kind of looks like me. And, he is some kind of computer guy...which I plan to be at this time next year. I managed to find that one....and picked up a few extras. The most notable is a guy dressed as the Easter Bunny. I swapped his head with Neptune's and will say that it makes a passable Bunny Man. ("Bunny Man" is the one urban legend that I can think of that may come true. Look it up.) I also ended up with a knight and a Little Red Riding Hood. Lego figures have not changed much in the 20+ years since I have given up Legos. They are more expensive than Kreons and have less articulation. (And, frankly, Kreons are hardly worth writing home about.) 3 of these guys cost about as much as one of the cycle-chase Kre-O sets.

A new phone.
Last Friday, I lost yet another phone to the elements. I was not able to do anything about the water immediately. And, it was too late when I did get to it. After pulling the battery and leaving the phone in a bag of rice over-night, all I had was a cell-phone that did not work with some rice rattling around inside.
So, yeah, I may not have your number. Text me at my primary phone or inbox me your contact information.

-5 phones lost in 3.5 years. Yikes.

Re: September Hauls
Wow Dom, you really have bad luck with phones.
Was at another toy show yesterday and $38 yielded RTS Jazz, Generations Tundercracker and Wheeljack. Oh, and a UK Sticker book for Transformers: The Movie. Which goes nicely with my other two books.
Shockwave
-Apparently low priced toys are in the budget.

Me too! And at $12 it was cheaper than when I bought it originally (at Walgreen's when they first came out). So yeah, I was pretty happy. There was a dealer that was selling the Asia exclusives so I could have gotten Wheelie, but they wanted 35 for it and I wasn't gonna plunk down that much on one figure.Onslaught Six wrote:Glad you got a Jazz back.Shockwave wrote:Wow Dom, you really have bad luck with phones.
