May Hauls
TF:P Legion Breakdown - not that great, really. Ok sculpt marred by very long arms, low articulation, and short for a Legion figure.
Got to finally use my collapsible strainer, not bad at all. A bit slow to drain due to design, but big space savings, nice color, feels well-made.

See, that one's a camcorder, that one's a camera, that one's a phone, and they're doing "Speak no evil, See no evil, Hear no evil", get it?

Re: May Hauls
Oh hey, I got a Legion guy too!
Picked up Evac. Waffled for a second between him and Breakdown, but seeing as Breakdown is an actual character from TFPrime, Evac won out. He's pretty predictable for a Legion, at least in terms of transformation and articulation. I really wish his chest locked down in robot mode, its looseness is the weak link of that mode. Still a cool little robot mode, lots of color for a Legion (the bits of red on the upper arms are unexpected but nice details), and his base color is a very nice shade of blue. Transformation's utterly pedestrian for the size class: Lift up chest/hood, bend the legs around back, peg the arms to the side. I genuinely have no idea what kind of vehicle he's supposed to be. The box calls it a 'supercar', but the actual product looks more like a cross between a Smart Car and a little APC with a jet engine strapped to the back of it. Lots of greebly details. I mean, the whole thing looks 'cool', love that big, flat windshield, I'm just not sure what it's supposed to 'be', exactly. The gun can peg to either side of the vehicle, but I think it would look better on top, too bad it can't go there, ah well. Still, a decent little dude, if his transformation is boring and his robot mode somewhat unstable, he makes up for it by at least looking nice. I'm gonna need to go on this ride once it opens, I think.

Re: May Hauls
Customizing yielded UT Garboil (from "Cybertron" Laserbeak).
It took a bit less than two hours to coat most of the toy in GW's Regal Blue and touch it up with black, all with no disassembly. I will probably add a (silver) faction sigil to it later (as I was too tired late last night). But, the figure is done.
edit: The TFA homage is made of left-overs, I will say that much.

Sounds cool. Reminds me I need to get back on bugging the brother to dig his Universe Ravage out so I can send it to you and you can potentially make Howlback. Dude's lazier than I am, I swear.Dominic wrote:Customizing yielded UT Garboil (from "Cybertron" Laserbeak).

I really like the Cobalt Sentries, how much does it cost to get them, these days? EDIT: Too goddamn much! Holy cats!
Ooh, which one?Dom

Re: May Hauls
I paid $60 for my Cobalts, which is not too bad all things considered. (One is a political officer and the other is a propaganda minister. How could I say no?)
I already made Howlback. I need another TFU Ravage to make Stripes.
Dom
-has to wonder if Garboil's name is an unintentional (and Godwin's Law shattering) pun.

It's supposed to be a ride-simulator vehicle that holds 18 or so people, I believe.BWprowl wrote:Oh hey, I got a Legion guy too!

Package from Scourge:
-that missing drone for my PCC Stunticon set. (Review coming soonishly.)
-an extra copy of PCC Skyhammer and Airlift. If anybody needs this, let me konw. It is in my custom pile. But, I will sell it if somebody wants it.
Dom
-only needs one more PCC.

Re: May Hauls
My PCC list is swiss cheese - Heavytread, the Dinobots, the Constructicons - but none I need enough to track down.
Picked up lately:
- Star Wars The Vintage Collection - Blu Ray cut scene Lando, Leia, and Luke.
- TF Prime - Legion Arcee, Cyb Cmdr Bulkhead (was that an April haul?), dlx Ratchet, Hot Shot

Re: May Hauls
I feel shitty that I bought the previous ROTJ Luke because Lightsaber Construction Luke looks way cooler, like how Luke was portrayed in the EU stuff.

Re: May Hauls
Don't feel too bad, the figure has the wrong robe, the Endor belt, the vest design is painted wrong, the arms and legs are from the previous Luke, hair is parted on the wrong side, his soft skirt and vest are the wrong cut, the lit lightsaber is still Obi-Wan's ROTS saber, and the head has big cow eyes.Onslaught Six wrote:I feel shitty that I bought the previous ROTJ Luke because Lightsaber Construction Luke looks way cooler, like how Luke was portrayed in the EU stuff.
