wrestling video

Post by Dominic »

Look at the opening interview, with Jason Rumble (the host) and Devin Blaze. (Blaze and Trainwreck really are that crazy by the way.)

So this is where you hang out when you're not here!

Mr Rumble has some impressive nipples in that other video.

There is an actual wrestler called Big Bear? ...Well I'd make a KoF reference but only Prowl would get it.

I enjoy the champ's gimmick of just being a guy in a shirt. Quite refreshing, considering the wrestlers that were on TV when I was a kid.

And it is where I find my zen.

Yup. He and his cousin Burly and real jerks. Did you see how they slammed that poor fan?

DC's gimmick is either that he is a working class guy from the area (as a face) or that he is a arrogant thug who does not need to dress for the shows, (as a heel). He is really good. (You should hear the filth he talks that does not make the air.)

The tag team championship at the end was even more dramatic for me because I was running out of tape. If not for a few extra minutes of tape at the end, we would not have gotten it. (I was the hard cam for those who are curious.)

I'm calling them my "man rivets" from now on.

Then maybe I'll go full nerd crazy and refer to my groin as the "wave motion cannon."

You'd better check to see if Rumble's ok with that. Surely they're HIS man rivets first and foremost.

I must ask, is there a reason they don't do their promos in the ring? I seem to recall that being the industry standard.

The indy stuff my friend used to film was exclusively in-ring, they had nothing else.

Over the last 10 years, promos have been cut most any place.

I do not mind promos being in/around the ring or locker room. Those make sense. However, when they are being cut in places that do not make sense, or there is no reason to have a camera, that is problematic.

Just figured it'd be hard for half the crowd to see them down there on the mat.

If I was a wrestler I'd cut *all* my promos from within the crowd itself. Yeah!

If you look at the seating, the angle would let the audience see the performers. (We use a 16 foot ring, so distance is not a problem.)

Depending on the nature of the promos, it makes sense for the wrestlers to be in the audience. Of course, having been near these guys during shows/practice, I can honestly say that sweat and such can be a problem. (It is kinda gross and all.) Every so often, you seen the wrestlers interact directly with the audience, (such as Los Diablos dancing).

Alright, I'll ask: Dom, are you a manager/valet/whatever or a wrestler/superstar/whatever?

You can't know how much I want you to be a wrestler.
