September Hauls
Had a nice Transformers-related haul today. Bought season 3/4 of the original series on DVD, along with Headmasters, which I've never seen. I've been wanting to watch "Five Faces of Darkness" again for a long time.

Got a kind of neat little haul yesterday. 6 inch figure of the Wesley Dodds Sandman. Not much articulation, but the figure looks cool, and it does have removable hat and mask. And it was three bucks, so why not?

...And another nice mini-haul. Okay, the Sandman figure I picked up was from one of the Vintage Stock stores having a Labor Day sale. Hit up another of those today and picked up a couple things.
Generations Thunderwing: Yeah, I was unimpressed enough with this figure at first that I sent it the hell off the continent. But with the sale factored in, this thing was four bucks for a complete new one. I couldn't resist.
Cybertron Yellow Scrapmetal: Loved this mold the first time around, but never did get around to getting the yellow version. For three bucks, I'll take it and be happy about it. Still a really cool little toy.

God damn it, other companies need to stop making things I want! (Incidentally, there's rarely 'ever' been any figures of the true Sandman...)138 Scourge wrote:Got a kind of neat little haul yesterday. 6 inch figure of the Wesley Dodds Sandman. Unimpressed? Clearly you aren't a G1 Marvel fan. It's 'Thunderwing!'138 Scourge wrote:Generations Thunderwing: Yeah, I was unimpressed enough with this figure at first that I sent it the hell off the continent. No, I like G1 Marvel quite a bit, which is kind of why I was wanting Thunderwing's toy to be really cool. As it is, it's just okay.

I really hope you guys' version of the DVD has the incredible Omni Productions / Star TV dub. The first episode alone had me in stitches. In all seriousness, though, watch the series with the original Japanese audio. You'll thank your ears. Roadimus Prime...andersonh1 wrote:along with Headmasters, which I've never seen
I *technically* got Kamen Rider: Seigi no Keifu and Kamen Rider: Climax Heroes for my beloved all-region-friendly PS2... but I haven't had the time or inclination to play them yet. I know there's all of two guys on this board who'll give a toss about this, so I'll be sure to let them know if they're any good. =3
Especially curious about Seigi no Keifu, because *every* Kamen Rider fan has heard of Climax Heroes, and is bored with one-on-one fighters. Seigi no Keifu is not only way more obscure, it has an actual storyline focused on a much smaller cast and is more of a 3D scrolling beat 'em up affair. Looking forward to seeing Ichigo, V3, Black and Agito in action together...
COME TO TFVIEWS oh you already did

It doesn't. All Japanese, all subtitled.Gomess wrote:I really hope you guys' version of the DVD has the incredible Omni Productions / Star TV dub. The first episode alone had me in stitches. Yeah, and to be fair, that's probably the cheapest way to produce these, by far. Haven't watched it yet. I think I may watch season 3 through in order first, then Headmasters. There may be a few season 3 episodes I still have never seen, though I've watched most of them.Onslaught Six wrote:It doesn't. I find the translations to be sometimes funny. Like they were translating it word for word, but sometimes with Japanese you need to translate the meaning rather than the actual words.
