Movie influences on the rest of TFs

Money, violence, sex, computer graphics, scatalogical humor, racism, robots designed to be rednecks but given European accents, and maybe another sequel to the saga... what's not to love? TF m1, Revenge of the Fallen, Dark of the Moon and now Age of Extinction.

Eh, I was referring to IDW, where Starscream has enjoyed his longest tenure as leader G1 has ever seen. Of course, now Megatron's back so his term is about up, but it was there while it lasted.

I am profoundly ignorant of IDW's TF work. I followed it at the very beginning, but lost every iota of interest during Stormbringer (space opera). And then Furman came on board. T-T

Really, by my own logic I should *like* Bay's movies, if only because they take place almost entirely on Earth. =p

Um... yeah, Furman was actually the first writer for IDW's Transformers comics. From when you say you lost interest, sounds like all the stories you would have read would have been written by him....

Oyeah, I forgot about that. Well, what happened then? He suddenly slipped back into his 90s ways, I guess. He wrote Stormbringer too, right?

Furman wrote damn near everything IDW put out (minus Megatron Origin and a few Spotlights, movie-related stuff and one or two other things) until All Hail Megatron.

Well, what can I say? Probably that IDW had him on a tight leash to begin with, but then let him start Expressing Himself. Either way, as soon as it became more about technoorganic hyperdrive exhaust manifolds than Robots in Disguise, I was out.

Kaay.

The TFs' altmodes better play an actual role in the plot, though. At least Bay got that. Kind of. =/

Who the hell cares if "Transformers" is set on Earth? "Last Stand of the Wreckers" is amazing, and has only one scene on Earth. It is every bit as intelligently written as "All Hail Megatron", with fewer technical issues.

"Reign of Starscream" was a good movie-verse comic...set on Cybertron.
