Variety reports that a partnership between Universal Parks & Resorts, Hasbro, Inc. and DreamWorks Pictures has put into development a theme park ride inspired by the Transformers movies. The ride will incorperate a fusion of 3D-HD media, special effects and robotics with a ride system to bring the Transformers to life.
The Transformers ride is set to replace the “Backdraft” attraction with construction slated to begin after Labor Day. The ride is expected to open in 2011, first at Universal Studio’s in Singapore and later at the Universal Studio’s location in Hollywood.
