Combiner Wars Skydive Review

Skydive-110Combiner Wars deluxe Skydive is a classic member of the Aerialbots, the team’s “master combat tactician” (the entirety of the packaging’s bio). Skydive transforms into an F/A-18 Hornet jet that has some of the F-16 Fighting Falcon mixed in, since the G1 figure was an F-16; of course he also becomes a combiner leg or arm. Skydive is part of the first wave of Combiner Wars deluxe figures, and comes on the smaller card without a comic book. Read on for the full review and photos. Continue reading

Combiner Wars Motormaster Review

Motormaster-113Combiner Wars voyager-class Motormaster is the classic leader of the Stunticons, a tyrannical crusher of both his enemies and his team. Motormaster transforms into a semi-tractor truck, as well as the central component of Menasor; he comes with 2 accessories, a pistol and a sword, which combine to make Menasor’s mighty sword. Motormaster shares a design and parts with Combiner Wars Optimus Prime, but seems like the better use of the mold. Read on for the full review and photos, and note this review is for Motormaster only, the full Mensaor review is coming last in the series.  Continue reading

Combiner Wars Silverbolt Review

Silverbolt-111Combiner Wars voyager-class Silverbolt is the classic leader of the Aerialbots, a bot that’s afraid of heights given the task of being the leader of a squad of flying Autobots. This isn’t the first new mold Silverbolt has enjoyed in the Generations-type lines, previously he was a non-combining ultra-class figure in the 2008 Universe line that turned into a different kind of jet. This new Silverbolt transforms into a supersonic jet reminiscent of his G1 self’s Concorde SST. Read on for the full review and photos, and note this review is for Silverbolt only, the full Superion review is coming last in the series. Combiner Wars Dead End Review

Dead End-101Combiner Wars deluxe Dead End is a classic member of the Stunticons, the depressed Nihilist that takes pleasure in keeping his sports car vehicle mode looking its finest. While the G1 version of Dead End turned into a Porsche 928, this new figure shares a body with Brake-Neck making this alt mode a modern Ferrari 458/360. Dead End may have been released first, but he knows that Brake-Neck was the original user of this body, and is depressed about that, despite this one looking really nice. As that’s the case, the majority of the details between this review and Brake-Neck will be the same. Read on for the full review and photos. Continue reading

Combiner Wars Firefly (Fireflight) Review

Firefly-107Combiner Wars deluxe Firefly is the current name Hasbro has given to G1 Aerialbot Fireflight. While the original figure transformed into an F-4 Phantom II, this new Firefly transforms into a Harrier jumpjet. While Firefly came out first, it’s a reuse of the Quickslinger body — the majority of the details between this review and Quickslinger will be the same.  Read on for the Firefly review and photos. Combiner Wars Drag Strip Review
